Five Winter Cosy Essentials To Keep You Warm

Good afternoon everyone, today’s post is on five winter cosy essentials to keep you warm. Yes I still wear knits over here in Dubai specially in the mornings and evenings during this time of year. So I thought I would go over some cosy essentials that are practical to keep you warm as well as being fashionable at the same time. Scroll down to check out my five cosy essentials to get you through this winter. Do let me know which of the pieces you are loving!

CABLE KNITS

Knit dresses in winter is an essential for me and by no means groundbreaking. I personally gravitate towards them during the autumn winter months just like many of you. In recent times I have become much more inclined to a cable knit. The knit dress that I am wearing for instance, not only is it warm and comfortable it is also thick and cosy. Here I have opted to style my cable knit dress with tan accessories. First I wanted to cinch in my waist, so I added my tan coloured belt. Next I went for my tan suede fringe boots, then I grabbed my tan clutch bag, finally finishing off my look with my cream sunglasses.

LOUNGE WEAR SETS

Moving on and I must include these in my list of five, yes its the trusted lounge wear sets. Whether you are lounging in them around the house or running errands in them, they sure will keep you nice and warm as well as very comfortable. For those days when I want to chill at home and do some admin work you can bet you will find me wearing a set. Then if I wanted to nip out I just have to put on some trainers or flip flops in my case most of the time and head out. There are so many cosy lounge wear sets on the market that are versatile for the home as well as wearing them out.

SCARFS

A great accessory for the colder weather is a cosy scarf, they can instantly amp up an outfit and also keep your neck area rather warm at the same time. Again with so many varieties on the market there is something for everyone. If you are looking for something on the luxe side then look no further than a cashmere scarf which always looks good and keeps you warm too. Another option that’s if you don’t mind the chunky scarf look, is to go for the oversized blanket scarves.

JUMPERS

Of course I could not leave out jumpers/sweaters from my list of five. I mean who doesn’t have several of these in their wardrobes! A knit jumper can be easily styled on its own or layered over or under another garment. I like to layer a round neck jumper with a shirt with a statement collar underneath it. Or I could easily throw on a coat, blazer or jacket to complete an outfit.

TEDDY COATS

Lasts but not least is the teddy coat, which in recent years has become a must-have during the winter months. You can see why as the coat keeps you warm and cosy as well as looking super stylish too. I really want the Max Mara teddy coat and it’s on my current wishlist. It is definitely an investment piece and one I can see my self wearing year after year and getting as much use out of as possible.

I love the look of knitted jumpers but I always feel so frumpy in them! Not that I mind at this time of year because I’m wearing seven million layers anyway haha!

These looks are nice and stylish. Although here we have to cover up those nice jumpers or dresses with several layers to not freeze. But I think I will get (or knit…) myself one knitted dress … late autumn or early spring and hopefully I will look as good as you in it )
