Good morning everyone, today’s post is on transitioning a maxi dress from summer to autumn. This way I get the most use out of my dresses and this can apply to so many dresses. It’s all in how you style the dress, layering is a must for this. The pieces I include are a blazer, a pair of sneakers/trainers and a pair of boots. So take a scroll down and take a look at how I transitioned my white maxi dress for autumn.

BLAZER
Right so a blazer instantaneously transforms this maxi dress into a perfect autumn look. Like I mentioned earlier layering is a great way to transition dresses into autumn/winter. So you could alternatively add a roll neck jumper under the dress which would also work really well. This blazer if from RTA Brand, it comes in a slightly oversized style. It’s one of my favourite blazers I absolutely love it as I can style it up or down!
SNEAKERS/TRAINERS
The next Item to style with my maxi dress is a pair of white trainers for those not so cold autumn days. They are perfect for everyday wear and running my daily errands in. This pair is from Superga and I have worn them to death and am in need of a new pair fairly soon!
BOOTS
Last but not least is a pair of boots for those chillier days, they are just wonderful to toughen up a dress. Taking a feminine dress and elevating it to an everyday outfit. Here are a selection that I have curated do let me know which of these you are loving. A few other pieces that I would add to my look would be a hat, in this instance I am wearing a baker boy one. My other favourite hat style is a fedora and then finish off my look with a pair of sunglasses.

This is very chic. I like to layer button-downs and turtlenecks under dresses, and I like adding long cardigans and blazers too. A cropped knitted chunky sweater or vest would also look great over this dress. I’m definitely a chunky boots gal!
