Good morning everyone, today’s post is on crochet and lace dresses. I am very much partial to a crochet/lace dress, the delicate and intricate style of the dresses makes me appreciate them so much more. They look so beautiful and are ideal for all types of occasions. Whether you are looking for something to wear to a wedding, birthday party, anniversary, garden party you name it you will find a dress that will fit the occasion!
Let me begin with crochet first and you have the likes of Dior, Gabriela Hearst and Valentino to thank or blame for the resurgence of the retro design technique. Now you can either go bold or understated that’s up to you. Here I have chosen a few understated crochet dresses. Let me know which ones you prefer.
Alternatively there are bold crochet pieces like bikini’s, bags, bottoms and dresses for those of you who don’t mind wearing bold colours. They will for sure make a statement as well!
Like I mentioned earlier I do love a lace dress, they are so feminine and pretty. This white one that I am wearing comes with spaghetti straps, in a midi length with a criss cross detailing at the back. So when it came to styling the dress I opted for neutral accessories. First up I went for these kitten heel white sandals, which work really well with the dress as well as giving me that slight elevation that I like. Moving on and onto my bag and I chose to go with my Loewe basket bag, a staple for spring summer in my opinion. I then added my cream coloured fedora hat to give the look a bit of oomph! Finally to complete my look I grabbed my white square framed sunglasses. Below are few of my favourite current lace dresses.
What do like to wear lace, crochet or maybe both? How would you style your outfit? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
