How To Style An Outfit With A Hat

Good morning everyone, today’s post is styling an outfit with a hat. I am a huge fan of hats and absolutely love wearing them whether it’s for practical reasons or just for adding a statement to an outfit. However, I have to be totally honest, I know I just said I love wearing hats, I am not big on beanies though!

 

/ HAT / DRESS / BAG / ESPADRILLES / SUNGLASSES / 

So here is one way to style a hat, this fedora that I am wearing is from Lack Of Color. This just works beautifully with my outfit. I opted to style the fedora with this green mini dress from Chicwish. I adore a voluminous sleeve dress and this one nails it. I wanted to keep the accessories all neutral, so went for my go-to Carina espadrilles. Next I grabbed my Loewe basket bag. Then to finally complete the look I went for my white frame Dior sunglasses.

 

FEDORA HATS

The Fedora hat is my favourite kind of hat to wear, it always elevates and brings the cool vibe to any outfit. Not only is it great for those not-so-great hair days but also great for either keeping you warm during the autumn winter months as well keeping the sun at bay for those hot spring summer days.

 

STRAW HATS

On to straw hats, they are perfect for summer and for wearing on vacation. Again great for keeping the sun at bay as well as great for popping it on when you can’t be bothered with your hair. It is also a must-have for summer in my opinion works beautifully with a midi dress and a basket bag.

 

PANAMA HAT

The Panama hat brings an element of elegance to a summer outfit, whether it’s a casual or a formal one. I would style this style of hat with a linen pair of wide leg high waisted trouser, a linen shirt and a pair of sandals. The Panama hat has been around for a long time, again it is a great summer staple piece.

    I’m not a fan of beanies either. Or baseball caps for that matter!
    I do love a hat though, my favourite being straw ones for Summer.
    You do suit a fedora, Lovely, and that dress you’re wearing is absolutely delightful too! xxx

    I’m not a hat person, I only wear one when I’m in the sun all day and have to for sun protection, but this one looks great on you, especially with that cute dress! 🙂

    I’m a huge fan of hats, and summer is the perfect season to show off the best of them (really I’m not very much into beanies too)!

    I am a fan of hats, with the fedora style (and slight variations of it) being my favourite. I have them in a few colours, and mostly wear them for rain protection in fall/winter/early spring – they keep my hair dry – although they are challenging to wear in our climate as it’s almost always windy here (no fun chasing a hat down the street!). I have a couple of straw hats for summer too, for sun protection. And let’s not even get started on my dressy hat collection!!
