Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday! Today’s post is on styling maxi skirts for spring summer. My closet consists of two maxi skirts, however I do own a few midi ones. The maxi skirt is one of those timeless pieces that never goes out of style. This versatile garment can be styled for a casual look, or for a formal occasion as well as for the evening too. There are also so many variety of styles to choose from. From your A-line skirt, pencil or an asymmetrical one to name a few.
Right my maxi skirt is in the A-line style and comes in this gorgeous caramel colour. The texture of the skirt is in this beautiful ripple detailing, which adds to the overall look of the skirt. I absolutely adore the colour as I don’t own many caramel coloured garments.
So when it came to styling the maxi skirt, there were a few ways I could have gone about styling it. After a little consideration I opted for a daytime look and teamed it with my white blouse. The blouse comes with the most gorgeous puff sleeves which adds to the overall look as well as the proportions of the outfit. Next and I wanted to stick to white and therefore decided on these white court shoes which are a few years old now but I still love them. They tie in beautifully and pulls the look together for me. Moving on and my bag of choice is this gorgeous black bag which is a very close dupe of the Hermes Kelly bag. Finally completing my look with my white cat-eye sunglasses.
Now you can alternatively pair the skirt with a plain white tee and some white trainers/sneakers should you choose too as that would also work rather well in my opinion. For a night out why not style the maxi skirt with a black bodysuit, a cropped blazer and a pair of heels and there you have it outfit sorted!
Do you like wearing maxi skirts? Which of the above pieces do you prefer? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
