Why Cardigans Are Making A Comeback

Good afternoon everyone, hope you all are having a wonderful day. So today’s post is on cardigans, whether they are simple and chic, oversized or statement worthy I have you covered. Recently the cardigan has become a great transitional piece due to it’s easy wearing appeal. Now as some people are spending more time indoors the cardigan is ideal for being cozy and comfortable.

Here I have decided to curate a few of my favourite cardigans for this season. So take a scroll down and let me know which of the cardigans you are drawn to. Are you a long cardigan kind of person? Or maybe you like the check cardigan? Do let me know which one is your favourite.

Right let me begin with my cardigan, this beautiful piece is from Mimi’s Edit and I absolutely adore the simplicity of the cardigan added with the faux pearl detailing. The edge to edge cardigan comes with a hook and eye fastening at the top. The edges of the cuff and hem are frayed to give an edgy look. A classic cardigan that I can see myself wearing for years to come.

When it came to styling my edge to edge cardigan I opted to pair it with these long black Bermuda shorts from Zara. Then I added my knee high black suede boots from Kurt Geiger. As for my top I opted for a simple shoulder padded tee, this one is from Zara. The shoulder padded tea layered underneath works really well with the cardigan, giving it some structure. I then grabbed my Azzedine Alaia sunglasses and my Gucci Dionysus bag to complete my look.

Moving onto long belted cardigans which are perfect for lounging around the house in as they give you that cozy comfy feeling. You can style it down with a lounge wear set or when heading out pair it with some wide leg trousers, ankle boots and a roll neck jumper.

Next and onto check cardigans to add some print into the mix and give an outfit something extra. Do love a brown tone checked jumper like the one from Mother Of Pearl. It is a great way to make an all black outfit stand out and give it some oomph!

Now I chose these Net Sustain cardigans as they have been consciously crafted. Every product from the Net Sustain Edit at Net-A-Porter has been selected to ensure that it meets at least one of their eight key attributes. These attributes take into account human, animal and environmental welfare and align with the fashion industries’ internationally recognised best practices.

Do you like wearing cardigans? If so which of the cardigans above are you drawn to the most? Do let me know in the comment below.

How I feel about cardigans has changed so much over time! I used to love little fitted ones over dresses, then it was all about the waterfall cardis, and now I’m into extra long duster-style ones. I have to be really careful how thick the knit is, as I’m short and curvy.

I adore the pearl edging on this interesting piece you’re wearing, Lovely! It is really classic…with a twist!
