FIVE STYLES OF JEANS I AM CURRENTLY LOVING

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine consisted of going to the Gevora Hotel for High Tea with my sister. I know a lot of countries are in lockdown at the moment. For us in Dubai we have been lucky enough not to go into another lockdown. Tea with my sister was great and the view was amazing, those of you who follow me on Instagram would have seen it on my stories.

Todays post is on five different styles of jeans that I am currently loving. Now my favourite and most worn styles are the flare and skinny. So I thought I would curate some jeans that are current at the moment in these five different styles. Hope at least one of the styles is to your taste, do let me know what you think.

SKINNY JEANS

So let us begin with skinny jeans as I happened to be wearing them here. This pair that I am wearing is from H&M and I customised the rips myself and cut the hems a little too. I then put them into the wash to give that frayed look, easy as that. Although I would say to put the jeans on first to mark out exactly where you would like the rips to be before going ahead and making the slits. Now they might not be the on trend style of jeans at the moment, but who cares if you like wearing this style then by all means go ahead and wear them.

I love to style my skinny jeans with a voluminous top and here I have done just that. My beautiful blouse is from Nackiye and I can’t get enough of the sleeves and the collar. As for the shoes I opted for these delicate faux pearl detailed mules from Mimisedit. Then I grabbed my white Cat-eye sunglasses from Illesteva and my Gucci Dionysus to complete the outfit.

FLARED JEANS

Moving on and onto flared jeans, these are my most worn style of jeans. After years of searching for the right ones I finally found the brand that actually does a pair that I love. The brand that I am talking about is Frame and the style is the Karlie Kloss. What I adore about this particular style of flare jeans is that it is long enough to cover my wedges. They literally graze the floor and that is how I love them to be.

Now the flare jeans can come in a few different styles if the long fit and flare isn’t what you are looking. You can go for the cropped version paired with a white tee and a pair of sneakers/trainers for a more casual approach.

BOYFRIEND JEANS

The boyfriend jeans is maybe one of the most worn by street stylers. There are so easy to style up and of course style down. For a night out pair the jeans with some heels a bodysuit and a blazer and you are all set. Or just go casual and style the jeans with either a pair of trainers/sneakers or some flats.

SLOUCHY JEANS

Moving onto slouchy jeans, I am new to wearing this style of jeans. So far I have not been disappointed in wearing them so much so that I have three pairs in black, white and blue. They are great to wear with combat boots, as they are suitably tough looking. Although tough they are highly flattering as the slouchy jeans come in a high rise. The tapered shape gives them that edge to wear with chunky boots should you choose to do so!

STRAIGHT JEANS

Finally onto straight jeans, this style must be one of the easiest to wear with just about anything. For a day of running errands team the straight jeans with a pair of your favourite sneakers/trainers. If you are heading out for brunch why not go for a pretty pair of mules like the ones that I am wearing. For a more formal outing style the jeans with some boots and a white shirt and blazer.

My favorite type of jeans are skinny, but I really like straight also. I like boyfriend and slouchy in theory but I haven’t found any that work with my body type. I was a big fan of flare jeans especially from old navy when I was in middle school and high school, they were a fad for me back then. Love the pictures, you look beautiful Lovely.

Beautiful as always, Lovely! It’s cool that you distressed yourself jeans yourself.

I am glad that virus cases aren’t so bad there. The United States is suffering 1000 deaths per day. Horrible.

You’re a stunner in those jeans and that top is a knockout!! It’s great that you are not in lockdown and that you’re able to get on with your daily lives – it’s the same here in Australia.
I love that you distressed your jeans yourself – good job and thank you for sharing!

I’m so pleased for you that you don’t have to go into lockdown and were able to have tea with your sister! I can’t even see my sister, unless we meet somewhere outside, wearing masks and keeping our distance!
I used to wear jeans a lot in the past, but I haven’t lately. I’ve been looking for my dream pair of flares, though. I don’t like skinnies on me, but on you they look amazing, especially paired with that stunning blouse! xxx

I usually opt for skinny jeans. We did wear a lot of the boyfriend and flare styles though back in the 90’s. Nice to see them making a come back!

Denim can really change up a look! I love straight leg jeans too. They are so flattering and comfortable. I love your outfit, especially those sunnies!

I can’t even remember the last time I wore jeans, but I love all legs except for wide crops (hard to carry off when you’re short). Love that lavender top and those lovely mules (doesn’t the “slap slap” drive you nuts? 🙂 ).
