Good morning everyone hope you are all well and having a great start to your Tuesday. Today’s post is on four items of clothing that I tend to reach for during the autumn months. These items are so handy in pulling together an outfit in a short amount of time. This is my school drop of attire, which I always get commented on how I manage to look so put together first thing in the mornings. Well let me tell you, it is rather simple and straight forward. Why not take a scroll down and have a look!
PAIR OF LEGGINGS
First up is a pair of leggings, now I am sure most of us own a pair of leggings of some sort. Mine are a few years old now and are from Sass and Bide which I bought from Net-A-Porter. I just adore the crinkle effect and the slight sheen the leggings have. Now of course you could wear a workout pair of leggings which would work equally here. What ever you feel comfortable in is the key. For me this pair is so comfortable and easy to wear hence the reason I always reach for them.
OVERSIZED WHITE SHIRT
Next an oversized white shirt is a must for me and I find wearing white just brightens my face on those mornings that I am feeling rather sluggish and tired. The oversized shirt makes the outfit look a lot more put together then say if I was wearing a t-shirt instead. This shirt that I am wearing is from H&M and is from their 2019 Studio Collection.
KNEE HIGH BOOTS
Moving on and the next item is my trusted knee high boots. This pair that I am wearing is from Kurt Geiger and it comes in the suede material and a cone shaped heel. The heel is great as it makes it so much easier to walk in and not feel uncomfortable as you would do if it was a narrow heel. The boots also add another layer of added warmth to my legs and amp up the outfit a little too.
Finally my fourth item is my blazer which pull the entire outfit together. Now here I have opted for my Karen Millen Maroon corduroy blazer. The colour screams autumn to me and also breaks up the black and white. Corduroy is a thick material and therefore great for those chiller mornings. Not only does it keep me warm but it also looks gorgeous on, if I do say so myself! Of course opt for which ever coloured blazer you prefer and have in your closet.
What are your go-to autumn pieces? Do any of the above fall into you selection? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
