Four Simple Ways To Style A Bodysuit

Good morning everyone today’s post is on styling bodysuits. I have been obsessed with wearing bodysuits ever since I saw Rosie Huntington Whitely first wear the Zara ones! I Absolutely have the utmost appreciation for the humble bodysuit. Such a versatile piece of clothing which has solved the issue of bulkiness when tucking in a top.

They have become a staple in my closet and can be styled in so many different ways. The bodysuit comes as a blouse and button-downs in addition to your regular tank top, turtle neck and long sleeve. A great way to make any ensemble look chic and put together.

A bodysuit for me is the foundation of my outfit and has become like I mentioned earlier a staple in my closet. So with this in mind I have curated a few looks around the bodysuit for you all. Take a scroll down and let me know which one appeals to you!

NIGHT OUT

So let us begin our outfit for a night out. Whether you are styling the bodysuit with a pair of tailored trousers or a leather pair of trousers this is one of the easiest way to get ready. The basic body can be layered under a shirt and button downed. Or it can be worn on its own with just a blazer. Just add a pair of heels for a night out and voila you are all set and ready to go!

LOUNGING AT HOME

I also love lounging around the house in my basic bodysuit. Paired with a pair of shorts it’s great for everyday wear for me specially as I am living in a warmer climate. My favourite combination is to pair a white high waisted pair of shorts with a white tank bodysuit. Now if I do feel a little chilly due to the air con I will throw on a cozy cardigan.

FOR A BRUNCH

A ribbed bodysuit paired with a skirt or a pair of jeans like I am wearing would be ideal for a brunch date. Here I have styled my Zara nude bodysuit with my black ripped jeans from Topshop. I then opted for my Kurt Geiger knee high boots. As for the accessories I am wearing my black Azzedine Alaia sunglasses and Taylor Yates bag. Finally I draped my white RTA Brand blazer over my shoulders to complete my look.

DAY OUT SHOPPING

For a day of shopping I would pair a long sleeve body with some slouch jeans and a pair of trainers for a more casual look. I would also add a blazer to the outfit and a crossbody bag. Therefore giving me all the comfort I may need for a day of shopping.

I have to admit that I do not have any bodysuits in my wardrobe. I’m hearing you on the issue of bulkiness when tucking in a top, so perhaps I’ll have to try one out. That said, I did own one or two when they were all the rage back in the 1980s. You look fabulous in yours, worn with black jeans and white blazer. I can quite see it styled with that gorgeous pleated skirt as well! xxx

That nude bodysuit looks so classy and chic on you! Bodysuits are the best! I can’t stand the bunched up look of tucking shirts in sometimes

Its’ nice to see bodysuits really making a comeback lately. We wore them all the time in the 90’s. You definitely have the figure to wear all styles and look good in them ♥
