Good morning everyone, this attire is based on how to wear bold prints. Most of the time I stay away from prints, I am all for stepping out of my comfort zone once in a while. I know I’m not the only person to feel this way when it comes to bold prints, some of you might feel intimidated by wearing them like I was to begin with. Florals are huge right now and there’s a floral for everyone, they were all over SS19 Catwalks from designers Louis Vuitton to Valentino to name but a few.
So lets begin with this bold print dress which has been adorned with tulips. I was kindly gifted this dress from Springstiches a change from all the daisy print dresses out there. A midi wrap dress which fits perfectly and has these fluted sleeves that add to the flare of the dress. I love some statement sleeves and although these are very subtle they still bring some edge to the dress.
Next and onto my shoes and to these white pair from Dune London. I wanted to go for a plain pair of shoes and decided here that my white pair would work best with the bold print dress. The key to picking the right pair of shoes when it comes to styling bold prints is to stick with a neutral colour. I could have easily gone for an orange or yellow pair of court shoes but felt that would be a bit to overpowering for me!
When it came to my bag I opted for this faux pearl detailing black one from Marks and Spencer. I know you wouldn’t be able to tell by just looking at it that it was from M&S but it is. One of my best buys as it is a few years old now and I absolutely love wearing it and have done so. All you need to do is just take a look at my previous posts.
Moving onto my hat and I decided to stick with the colour black and chose to wear this fedora hat from Whistles. The black fedora hat ties in beautifully with the bag and the overall look. A straw hat would equally work well here, if your not a hat person then no hat works too!
So on to my white sunglasses which are from the current Net-A-Porter sale and is from Illesteva. The white Isabella sunglasses feature cat-eye frames, tinted lenses a brand logo on the internal arms. My pair is sold out but you can find the black version HERE.
Finally completing my look I am wearing my matt lipstick in the shade Teddy Bear from Lime Crime Velvetines. So there you have it one way to wear a bold print dress!
