Good morning everyone, today’s post is on re-wearing items that are already in my wardrobe. I like to update my outfit with one piece of new clothing. I don’t invest in clothes, I buy what I like knowing that I will wear it time and time again. It really annoys me if I purchase something and only wear it once. Does anyone else feel the same way?
Nowadays I opt for more timeless pieces that will last the test of time. Although it is easy to get caught up in the fast fashion haul, I try my best to choose garments that are better quality and ones that have a classic silhouette. Therefore I can wear them season after season. I was already doing this as I already own a number of pieces in my wardrobe that I have had for nearly two decades!

In Mum Life this week, it has been rather eventful and busy. First off Wyatt had his performers platform on Wednesday, which entailed him playing a Jazz Clarinet piece as well as playing in the clarinet ensemble. He also did a solo singing piece from the Greatest Showman. The song he sang is “This is Me”, although at first he was not very keen on the song eventually he liked it. He sang beautifully and did a wonderful job delivering it!
It is World Book Day this week and Zeke has decided to go as Klaus Baudelaire from the Lemony Snicket books A Series of Unfortunate Events. As for Wyatt he decided to go as Mr Twit from Roald Dahl’s ‘The Twits’. It was the only costume he liked and was something he has not dressed up as previously. As for Eli he will also be performing in two weeks time in the Guitar Ensemble. He is looking forward to it although I think he can do with some more practicing.
CHECK COAT
Now lets begin with my gorgeous Heritage Check double-breasted coat from Karen Millen. This coat is from last season and since buying I have been re-wearing this as you may all have seen in my previous posts. This check coat is my base to styling this whole outfit. It’s a perfect check coat which is a must-have in my wardrobe. I think we should all own a classic coat like this as it can be worn year after year. It is tailored to perfection in my opinion and pulls the whole look together.
KNIT DRESS
Next I decided to style the check coat with this grey knit dress from Femme Luxe Finery. This is the only new item I am wearing and was gifted to me. I always have a few knit dresses that I wear around this time of year. They are perfect when it comes to pairing with knee high boots, showing of just a smidge of skin. The dress has these side split which can be daring for some, I did have to check myself when I sat down to make sure I wasn’t exposing myself. The dress comes in a high neck and in a ribbed design with long sleeves. So easy to style as either a daytime look or for the evening.
KNEE HIGH BOOTS
On to my boots and I opted for these knee high black pair from Carvela at Kurt Geiger. The style of the boot is called Whirl and if you are interested they are on sale now and they have quite a few of the sizes in stock. This just breaks the grey colour scheme that I have going on here. A great pair of boots that would lift any outfit whether it be a crisp workwear or a laid back weekend attire. The material is in this gorgeous butter-soft suede with a smooth lining which adds to the comfort.
These are just so comfortable and easy to walk around in that I have been re-wearing them to an inch of their lives. Good thing I bought a second pair, the minute I tried them on I knew I had found the perfect pair of knee high boots for me. This tall boot is detailed only with light tonal stitching, and has tapered mid heels which are very comfortable to walk in. It also has pointed toes which create a chic silhouette and works rather well here.
BAG
Moving onto my bag and keeping in with the grey I opted for my Pippa Modalu England crossbody bag in the colour shark. A cute little bag which is so stunning and beautifully crafted. You can wear it crossbody or carry it like I am here. It is available in an array of modern colours and expertly crafted in the highest quality materials. Impeccably designed in three timeless styles: the classic, mini and chained crossbody, the collection is a combination of versatility and seamless craftsmanship. The bag is just big enough to carry all your everyday essentials!
ACCESSORIES
As for the finishing touches first off I decided I would add some more black to the outfit. So I grabbed my Topshop baker boy hat which I bought a few seasons ago and still love wearing. Specially for those morning drop offs when my hair is a mess and I haven’t enough time to put the straighteners through. To add a bit more black to the ensemble I wore my vintage black velvet gloves. On my lips I am wearing Tom Ford Crimson Noir with M.A.C Brick lipliner. Before heading out I put on my frameless mirrored aviators in the Prince Ltd style from Le Specs. A great way to hide those tired mummy eyes in the mornings.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read my fashion blog. What do you like re-wearing? What is your most worn piece of garment. Please do let me know by leaving a comment below.

You are dressed to kill! I especially, love the hat and boots. They are so sleek and I to love to wear my same wardrobe a lot. Especially, when you get a few pieces that are so highly versatile you can’t go wrong. 🙂 http://www.bauchlefashion.com/2019/03/5-misconceptions-about-camera-bags.html

Wow love your outfit here! The bag is so pretty. I feel the same way but still there are some pieces in my wardrobe I’ve never worn cause I figured that there is nothing that goes with them or they don’t look as good as expected, haha.

I love World Book Day. Such great character choices for the boys. I am sure they had fun. Love your look and swooning over your coat. My most worn pieces have to be sweaters. I live in them, lol.

The thing about fashion is that you don’t always need to buy something new. You can mix and match your pieces. I love how you did a great job with this outfit. The light blue goes well with gray and yellow! You have a talent for putting together gorgeous outfits!

Ahh very nice! This totally gives me “out on the town” vibes! I love how it all goes together, including the shades! I completely agree on purchasing items that you can reuse and style in different ways. I don’t think I’ve ever purchased something and have only worn it once (definitely don’t have the money to be doing that!) lol. Great post!
