HOW TO WEAR THE PANTSUIT THIS A/W

The pantsuit or trouser suit as we it call over here in the U.K is back in full force. I mean amongst the street style and the fashion girls. Now of course for all the women working in the city it’s never been out of style. This is a great way to empower the working girl vibes and look stylish at the same time. There are so many ways of tackling this trend whether you want to try the 80’s inspired check, the ultra feminine pink suit or even a short suit, there’s a take on the look for everyone to try.

THE GREY CHECK SUIT

Now I have opted for the versatile grey check suit, this one is from H&M. The blazer and trousers are very similar but are not part of a suit. I mean you can barely tell by looking at the pictures and had I not mentioned it you wouldn’t have known. This is a perfect neutral for your Autumn/Winter wardrobe. A menswear inspired grey suit can be worn in so many different ways, taking your from the office to a night out.

Now a suit is very versatile and can be paired with any type of top depending on where you are going. For the office you can style it like I have here and go for a shirt, mine is from H&M and is sleeveless. Its your basic white shirt but just makes the whole outfit standout. Of course I could have easily teamed the pantsuit or trouser suit with a roll neck jumper either in white or black. This also makes the ensemble look very elegant and smart in my opinion.

If your heading out for the evening you can easily switch up the shirt or roll neck jumper for a bodysuit. This will elevate the look for the evening paired with some heels and voila easy as that you are ready for your night out!

When it came to choosing my shoes after much deliberation I opted for this pair. These white transparent detailed, pointed toe court shoes from Dune London. They exude a timeless glamour and showcase a classic silhouette with the transparent trim detail. The heels come in your slim style and are quite high. I’m a heel kinda person so for me this is just right for a lunch date. But of course wear what you feel comfortable in specially if your heading into work. You could wear some white trainers/sneakers and then change into something similar to what I’m wearing.

Next and onto my aubergine coloured mini briefcase bag. Now how cute is this bag!!!! I absolutely adore it as it just perfect for this ensemble. In this gorgeous dark aubergine colour with gold detailing. It is a vintage bag that has been sitting in my wardrobe for years. So pleased that I can make use of it now!

For the finishing touches I opted for my River Island white oval sunglasses. This ties in beautifully with the white shoes and top. As for my lipstick I am wearing a nude shade and my current favourite Teddy Bear my Lime Crime Velvetines. On my nails I decided to wear the shade ‘I Believe In Manicure’ by OPI.

THE DRESS IT DOWN SUIT

Why no go for a more casual look and style your suit with a plain white tee and trainer/sneakers that doesn’t make the look feel so buttoned up.

BORROWED FROM THE MEN SECTION SUIT

Try out the oversized suit similar to the Marc Jacobs one Lady Gaga wore to the Women In Hollywood awards. So think ’80s like shoulders and boxy silhouettes that look like you took them from either your boyfriend’s wardrobe or bought it from the mens section.

THE SHORT SUIT
Now this is one of my favourites, I absolutely adore a short suit. Why not channel the ’90s with a shortened version of the classic suit, whether it’s with a pair of shorts or a mini skirt.

Thank you for stopping by to read my blog post. Do you own a pantsuit or a trouser suit? Which ones are your favourite? Please do let me know by leaving a comment below.

This is a great suit look! I love the neutral colour. The pattern makes it more fashion forward, but the neutral colour palette makes it perfect for any work occasion. Stylish and elegant!!!

You rock the pantsuit look! I love that it makes working in the office better with the drop in fashion. I haven’t worn pants to the office yet (pure skirts/dresses) – I need to give this a try!

That suit looks great on you! I like the tunic top with it, unexpected but it works! I actually don’t have a suit in my wardrobe – people don’t wear suits often here in Brisbane.

Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend šŸ™‚ It’s a relaxing one here!
