Bell Bottoms and Statement Sleeves
Good morning everyone, didn’t manage to post a blog post whilst I was away on vacation. Well to be honest I just wanted to spend quality time with the family, after taking pictures and posting on Instagram I didn’t want to spend more time on editing photo’s and writing a post too!
So here is my post on bell bottoms and statement sleeves. Late by a week but as they say better late than never right?! As you may be aware of I am a big admirer of flares. With that in mind I couldn’t wait to channel my inner Charlie’s Angels in this ensemble. Love a bit of drama specially with statement sleeves.

In Mum Life the boys have enjoyed watching the World cup. My husband decided to do a draw at home where we all pick a country out of a hat. I can tell you there was much excitement over who was going to win. It was a shame when England got knocked out in the Semi-finals, but the players did very well to get that far considering they were a young bunch of players. My Zeke got France in his draw, and he was over the moon when they won. Purely for the fact that he will be getting a treat and of course lets not forget his competitiveness!
Also at the same time the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament was happening. We live so close to Wimbledon that it is very hard to miss all the official Wimbledon cars driving around with the players. Venturing into Wimbledon village around this time is rather busy but just another experience in it self. An avid tennis lover and someone who adores this time of year. I was rooting for Nadal to win but at the end was very happy for Novak Djokovic for winning the title.
Lets begin on my ensemble and these bell bottoms which I purchased a few years ago from Karen Millen. I can distinctively remember trying these on, I must have been three months pregnant at the time. Although I could just about do the zip up I was very determined to purchase them. In my mind I knew once I had given birth to my son I would be able to fit into them. To this day you can see they still fit me, yay!
These come in a wide leg and have this gorgeous stitching details around the pockets and on the belt loops. Giving me that seventies vibe that I love so much. Personally I like my bell bottoms to be floor length when I wear them with my shoes and therefore had to let the hem out the bottom.
Next I paired it with my balloon sleeve shirt which is also from Karen Millen. Just can’t get enough of this shirt. I have previously worn it with my Guess maxi skirt. Why not read all about it here if you haven’t already done so. The shirt is tailored and fits me like a glove and these balloon sleeves gives the shirt that statement vibe I so desire. Coming in at elbow length with pleated cuffs and pleated details on the shoulders. Just the perfect shirt for pairing with any denim bottoms.
Moving onto my Casataner Espadrilles in Carina. These were the perfect heel hight for the bell bottoms, not to high and not too short either. My love for wedge espadrilles just seems to grow each year and I know I will be adding more to my collection. The tie ups is what always draws me in and are my favourite kind of espadrilles.
As for my accessories and to give my overall look some edginess I opted for my black Zara Belt bag. A cute little belt bag that I find just gives the outfit that extra edge. It also has enough room for my iPhone and few other things like my lipstick and sunglasses.
Talking of Sunglasses I grabbed these Le Specs LTD Edition Prince style before heading out. They are designed in a cool aviator-style shape, this silver pair is finished with tinted flash mirror lenses. In my opinion just perfect for this look.
Finishing off I wore Lime Crime lipstick in the shade Teddy Bear. On my nails I wore the shade ‘I believe in manicures’ by OPI Nails.
Here are few of my suggestions for Bell bottoms:
