SATIN SILK DRESSES FOR SUMMER OCCASIONS

Good morning everyone, today’s post is on satin/silk summer dresses. They are ideal for special occasion as well as everyday wear! So I thought I would share with you all a few of my favourite as well as how to style them for summer. Now I have decided to style mine down for an everyday look, this way I get to wear the dress a lot more.

Right so my satin dress is from Rixo and comes in this beautiful cornflour blue colour. The dress also comes in pink and green too! I absolutely adore the colour and the dress is so pretty, I could easily wear it for a wedding, garden party, brunch, lunch and dinner! Here I opted to style it down for an everyday look, so I went for my white Superga sneakers/trainers. I then grabbed my Loewe basket bag with the white leather trimmings and finished the outfit off with my white Dior sunglasses.

Like I mentioned earlier I could easily wear the dress for so many other occasions. Ideal for a wedding, all I need to do is add a pair of heels and a clutch bag of some sort and I am all set. For a garden party I would style it with a pair of espadrilles and a small bag, the options are endless!

I just bought a silk maxi earlier this year for an upcoming even. I love the drape and feel of silk! XO Nipa

What an absolute dream of a dress Lovely! Silk is actually the coolest of fabrics to wear in hot weather. And you’ve just reminded me of a thrifted silk dress I bought last Winter, which is definitely due an outing! xxx

I love how versatile they are, you can look so polished and but together but still look quite effortless like you’ve casually thrown something on. Perfect!

It’s a really pretty dress, very reminiscent of the dresses from the Art Nouveau period. I find silk-satin very difficult to wear as it shows every bump and bulge, especially when it’s a solid colour. I adore the colour of this, but I would probably pass on the dress itself.

    Great styling, as always, Lovely!

Love that dress! The lace on the collar and sleeves is just beautiful. And the color is stunning!

I love the vibrant color, and I could totally imagine it how you described for a wedding! The big shades are also really fun.
