HOW TO STYLE SHORT SUITS FOR SUMMER

Good morning everyone, today’s post is on styling a short suit for summer. I absolutely adore wearing short suits, how about you? So it was no surprise that I would jump at the chance of owning this one as soon as it was available. So much so that I have bought it in another colour. No doubt you will be seeing it on here very soon! A versatile suit that can be mixed and matched with different tops and bottoms and can be worn in so many different ways.

Here is one way I have styled the short suit. By all means style the short suit however you like and what makes you feel comfortable. You can either style it up, down or wear it like I have, I can see myself wearing them both throughout the coming seasons.

So this blazer and short combo come as separates and is from The Frankie Shop. It also comes in two other colours, now if you do like this style I would suggest you have a quick look as The Frankie shop items seems to sell out pretty quickly.

Right here is one way to style the short suit, pair it with a crop top or a bikini top like I have done here. Now I know this look might not be for all, again style it with what you prefer. Next I opted to style the suit with my Noirgaze bag in tan. The shape of this bag is what drew me to it and it’s a medium size bag which is ideal for day time as well as the night. Moving onto my shoes and I wanted to stick with the tan colour and therefore chose these marbled caramel sandals. Finally finishing off the look with my white cat-eye sunglasses.

 

STYLE THE SHORT SUIT WITH A SHIRT

Now I could have easily styled my short suit with a classic shirt in maybe the colour pink to give the outfit that pop of colour. Shoe wise depending on the occasion I would either choose a pair of white trainers or maybe a pink pair of converse which would work equally well. Or you could go for a pair of flat sandals instead. Bag of choice would be a basket bag of some sort and then finishing off with a pair of sunglasses.

PAIR WITH A TEE AND CHUNKY SANDALS

Alternatively why not pair the short suit with a sleeveless tee. This will give you a casual look once you take the blazer off. I have opted for a pair of black chunky sandals to toughen up the look a little. Again you could style them with some kitten heel sandals or a pair of trainers/sneakers. As for the bag I have gone for a black one here as I am going for a monochromatic look. Finally completing the look with a pair of black sunglasses.

    You look amazing in that short suit, Lovely! I remember wearing one to my sister’s wedding in 1995, as they were trendy back them as well. Not sure if 26 years on I’ll be wearing one again, though. xxx

    Love that oversized blazer! I really like the idea of a short suit but I’ve never worn one! It’s a really stylish choice for summer.

    This is a fabulous look, Lovely! I knew that top was Burberry! I would do a fancy tank or thin top with some colour, but I’d wear this suiting!
