Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday. Today’s post is about knee high boots, I tend to find that they are the most flattering for me. That also depends on the style of the boot too, also not forgetting they are the warmest. It’s a staple that everyone should have in their closet and I am sure most of you have at least one pair of knee high boot. Am I right?!
The knee high boot has been a staple since the 1960s, the go-go boot defined the decade. Over the years the aesthetic has changed but the essential parts of the boots remains the same. So whatever the style you gravitate towards I hope there is a boot amongst the pairs I have curated below.
LEATHER KNEE HIGH BOOTS
Right let me begin with the leather knee high boot which is very popular. They come in an array of styles, from your everyday plain pair, to the croc effect and the snake print. The snake print has been rather popular in recent times, however if this isn’t your cup of tea then stick to the plain or croc effect. Once you find that right pair for you, they will for sure see you through years to come. The heeled boots make the perfect addition to everything from Little Black Dresses to suits. Now if you want to make a statement go for those snake print boots in a bold colour, it will definitely make you standout!
SUEDE KNEE HIGH BOOTS
Next and onto the suede knee high boot, my personal favourite. Although not great for rainy climates as they can get scuffed rather easily or even ruined in some cases. I just find the suede to be chic and elegant not to say that the leather boots are not. The suede boot will make a great pairing with any evening attire be it a maxi knit dress or a leather skirt. Or you could style them like I have done here and pair them with a mini dress.
The dress that I am wearing is from Avavav and my suede knee high boots are from Kurt Geiger which you would have seen me wear previously. Outfit has been accessorised with my black Valentino Candy Stud bag and black Rayban sunglasses.
FLAT KNEE HIGH BOOTS
A pair of flat knee high boot is perfect for everyday wear. I would wear mine with some leggings a knit sweater and a short tweed jacket. Flat style boots are perfect for those polished and practical looks. You can also style them with knitted dresses, jeans or why not tuck in you tailored trousers for an elegant off-duty look. A capsule wardrobe is not complete without a pair of knee high boots. It’s a must-have staple in my opinion.
What type of knee high boots do you like? Which ones do you already own? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
