Good morning everyone, today’s post is on the check print and how to style it. I must admit I don’t own that many check garments. Of the ones that I own it took me a while to find what I liked and the type of check print I wanted. So whether you want to go for a check clashing outfit, or maybe just go for one. I have curated a number of pieces below that you can get your hands on should you choose to!

CHECK SKIRTS
Let me start off with the skirt which is a great and easy way to incorporate the check print into your closet. My skirt is from H&M and it’s from last year. However, for those of you who are interested they have the same skirt just in a different colour this year. I have styled my skirt in the same tones this gives a more polished look. I have teamed the skirt with a roll neck jumper. Just a basic plain one to keep the focus on the skirt. I then added a pair of leopard print boots which gives it that statement worthy look. To finish the outfit I wore a floppy hat in the same hue.
COATS
Moving on and coats is another way to add check into you closet. If your not keen on patterns then opt for small check prints so it doesn’t intimidate you. I personally love a check coat and after many years of searching I found one from Karen Millen. Again it’s all about finding that right one for you and one that will last the test of time. If your feeling bold then go for an all out check outfit which can look absolutely amazing if done right!
BLAZERS
Like I said earlier if coats are too much then go for a blazer instead. I have been on the search for a blazer for a while now, I saw one in Zara but they didn’t have my size available. So my search will continue, I don’t mind spending a little extra as I know I am going to be wearing it for years to come.
TROUSERS
Next and onto trousers again like skirts they are great to mix with plain pieces. Whether you go for wide leg trousers, skinny’s or cropped ones be sure to style them with plain pieces if this is your first time wearing checks. For those of you who are feeling bold why not go for a check on check look by teaming the trousers with a check shirt.
DRESSES
Check dresses can look extremely elegant, also depending on the style they can see you from work to a night out too. I do love a long sleeve check dress teamed with a pair of knee high boots in black and black accessories to complete my look. For those days I feel bold I will throw on my check coat too!
ACCESSORIES
For all my ladies who are afraid of the check print, accessories is the best way to incorporate it into your closet. Small pieces likes scarves and shoes are a great start.
Do you own any check pieces? If so which ones? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.

Jill – Doused in Pink
I don’t own that many pieces either. When I do buy new clothes, I make sure they’re classic pieces. And that includes check print. It’s perfect for fall! I love how you mixed check print with animal print.
