OCCASION WEAR EDIT

Good morning everyone, today’s post is on occasion wear. I love to dress up for a lunch date or for an evening dinner. Now I know with the current situation it is different for everyone, whether or not you are able to go out. I can safely say here in Dubai we are allowed to go out to restaurants and most other places. Also it’s not that early to start looking for an outfit for Christmas!

So with that in mind I thought I would do an edit on my favourite occasion wear outfits for every budget. So take a scroll down and have a look at what I have picked. It may give you some inspiration and outfit ideas you can take away.

MIDI DRESSES

Right let me start off with the dress that I am wearing. This is Olivia and it comes in the most gorgeous shade of blue and is from the brand Nadine Merabi. You will not believe how excited I was when the brand reached out to me. Their pieces are exquisite and I was in love with all their dresses specially the ones for occasion wear. I mean whatever the occasion be sure to be turning heads and making an entrance in a Nadine Merabi dress. The Olivia comes in four other colours and the navy is from their Garden Edit. The ideal dress for a brunch, lunch, high tea, dinner, bridesmaid or wedding guest.

Here I decided to style the Olivia dress with some nude sandals from Steve Madden. Next I grabbed my gold vintage clutch and kept my make-up to a minimum. Now I am all ready and set to go and enjoy my high tea!

JUMPSUITS

Next and jumpsuits for occasion is just perfect for those who don’t like to wear dresses. There are some spectacular jumpsuits out there. Whether you want to take it to the next level or just want a minimalistic look I have you covered. There’s the one shoulder jumpsuit, the Bardot style jumpsuit, the halter neck or the long sleeve one.

MINI DRESSES

Moving on and onto mini dresses, now I know not everyone wants to wear a mini dress. But there are some who don’t mind it at all. I am very much partial to a mini dress and love to put one for a date night with hubby. Again the choices are endless.

TWO PIECES

Last but not least is a two piece for occasion wear. Whether it’s a suit of some sort or two separates they can equally work rather well for most occasions. I love a Bermuda short and blazer set as well as a skirt and suit set. Of course a tailored pair of trouser and a blazer is the obvious choice.

    We’re in a semi-lockdown here, with all restaurants and bars closed for a month, among other things, so not much occasion to go out and thus get dressed up for it. And we’re still not sure about Christmas either … Anyway, I’m loving your selection and that dress you’re wearing is an absolute dream! xxx
