12 Midi Dresses To Wear With Trainers

Good morning everyone, today’s post is on twelve midi dresses you can wear with sneakers/trainers. It is rather funny how the first part of my childhood until I was eighteen I lived in sneaker/trainers. Since then I have worn heels apart from when I was working out. So now that I have come back to wearing them again it has been rather refreshing. Although it did take me sometime to get used to wearing flats again. I am a heel kinda gal and have a limited amount of sneakers/trainers in my closet. I am more picky when it comes to buying sneakers/trainers, boots than heels.

One of the easiest ways to dress down a floaty dress effortlessly is to pair it with some sneakers/trainers. I prefer the white Superga trainers paired with a floral dress or the black and white Adidas Gazelles. Not into dad trainers as I don’t think they will suit me as I have very small ankles. However if you are into them by all means pair them up with a long knit dress!

MIDI DRESS

Right let me get straight into it and start off with the midi dress. A versatile piece that can be worn all year round and easily transitioned season to season with minimum effort. A midi dress can also take you from day to night as well, it’s all in the styling.

The dress that I am wearing is from Rixo, it comes in a daisy print and feels and looks great on, even if I do say so myself! There is an array of midi dresses to get your hands on for this season. So here are a few of my favourites, let me know which ones you like!

SNEAKERS/TRAINERS

So when it came to styling the Rixo midi dress I opted for my white Superga sneakers/trainers. Great for a day time look, accessorised with a faux pearl handle basket bag from Le Petite Sardine and my Azzedine Alaia sunglasses. To transition the dress into Autumn all you need to do is add a black biker jacket, then ditch the basket bag and add a cross body bag instead. And there you have it all set and ready to go!

For winter either add a long chunky knit cardigan or a long coat with some combat or biker boots. As for the accessories a cross body will work perfectly like the Bottega Cassette bag. Next throw on a fedora hat to complete the look.

I really like how you can wear them with sneakers since the last few times I wore a dress I wore it with sneakers. My favorite sneakers were my old DC skate shoes which I don’t own anymore, and now it’s the slip ons I got from skechers. Awesome pictures, you look great Lovely.

I recently purchased those Adidas trainers to wear with my maxi dresses and skirts. Bad timing though as it’s autumn and I won’t wear that combination again until spring – but I can’t wait!
