HOW TO STYLE BLACK WIDE LEG TROUSERS

Good afternoon everyone, today’s post is on styling black wide leg trousers. Black can be understated elegance and one that has endless wearability. As it is still rather warm here in Dubai black is not always the obvious choice. However, styled correctly this colour can be worn when the temperature rises as well seeing me through from season to season.

BLACK LINEN TROUSERS

Black is a core colour in my closet, and until recently I have started wearing a lot more colour. When it comes to styling and getting dressed in a hurry it is very easy for me to choose something in black. Now wearing black when the temperature is high can seem silly as the colour holds heat. Which is why I try to wear pieces that are either linen or cotton, they are breathable and chic. Here I am wearing these fabulous wide leg linen trousers from Jacquemus. The trousers come with a high-waist and dramatic wide legs which I absolutely adore!

Also black in summer months looks great on a tanned skin, it is just so chic and sexy. It works well on the beach and in the evenings too. A great styling tool when it comes to toning down a vibrant look for me.

WHITE BLOUSE

Moving on and when it came to styling my Jacquemus wide leg trousers I opted to go for this white blouse from Nackiye. This blouse is perfect for styling with the wide leg trousers, it balances out the volume. But most importantly it comes in cotton which is ideal for the heat. The Frou Frou top has a high neck collar, three-quarter length pouf sleeves, a flared hem and back button closure. Such a unique blouse which I am loving and one I can’t wait to wear on repeat. Now for Autumn/Winter the trousers can be worn with a black or white jumper teamed with a black biker jacket.

BLACK ACCESSORIES

Finally when it came to the accessories I decided to go for all black. My Le Chiquito mini tote bag from Jacquemus needs no introduction as you would have seen it in my previous posts. A charming little bag which has been crafted in Italy from smooth leather and one that comes with a long adjustable shoulder strap that can be attached and worn across body. Completing my look I am wearing my Azzedine Alaia sunglasses.

These pants are super high-fashion. You’re so rocking them. I wonder if I’ll ever be brave enough to wear so wide pants.

What a gorgeous oversized outfit. I love how you styled those wide pants. Something about this look makes me think of Japanese and Asian street style- always so bold and modern. I love this.
    The mini bag is adorable.

For me, this is a very fasHUN silhouette – dramatic and not easy to pull of – but you have pulled it off effortlessly!
One really has to know their body, details, textures to pull of a look that is loose at the top and bottom.
I’m getting Yohji Yamamoto vibes and I’m toooootally here for it! Xo
