Good morning everyone, today’s post is on boots for fall/autumn. Now that most of us are headed into the chillier months it is time to bring those boots. I have already started to wear mine and at the same time have been looking at some new pairs to update my closet. I personally don’t invest in all of the seasonal trends, I try to find a pair of boots that suits my style. One that is versatile, transitional and will get plenty of wear from my closet. So whether you prefer chunky, biker, kitten or thigh high boots take a scroll down to see a few of my current favourites.

THE BIKER BOOTS
So let us begin with the biker boots shall we. Personally I think we should all own a pair of these as it seems like no autumn/winter is complete these days without the appearance of a biker boot. My pair is nearly a year old now, I had to search for a while until I came across them. This gorgeous pair that I am wearing are from Kurt Geiger. I have small calves, which I am sure I have mentioned in the past and therefore have a lot of problems with most boots as they are too wide around that area for me. So you can imagine my delight when these were just the perfect fit for me. If your think of splurging and going for some high end pairs well look no further than the Valentino low platform lace-ups that are on my wishlist for AW20.
THE THIGH-HIGH BOOT
Moving on and on to the thigh-high boots and not just any old thigh-high but glossy ones at that. I know I know! it’s not to everyone’s taste but I thought I would include them as they are proving to be very popular. Make sure to get you talc at the ready. The episode of Friends comes to mind the one where Ross decides to wear leather trousers!
At the Saint Laurent show second-skin boots dominated, they were paired with tailored blazers and skirt suits. They were not they only brands to feature these boots, the likes of Alexander McQueen and Proenza Schouler also had them strutting down the runways.
THE EVERYDAY BOOT
Next and on to the boot that can be worn everyday. Yep this is the one boot that can take you from work to play and everywhere else between. I am talking about the low-heeled, slouchy boots or ankle boots that work with most outfits and one that is very practical.
CHAIN DETAIL BOOT
Last but not least is the chain detail boots, from the likes of JW Anderson and Simone Rocha chains were the choice of embellishment. Without it looking vulgar the chains were wrapped around the ankle of a boot or across the toe to give it that extra oomph!
