Good afternoon everyone, today’s post has been inspired by Jacquemus. I don’t know about you all but I am totally obsessed with the brand and have been loving all their pieces. I wish I could purchase them all, but as that is not feasible I thought I would style an outfit instead.
High waisted trousers was one of the items Jacquemus had coming down the runway. A great pair of trousers to have and one that can be worn all year round. I personally adore wearing a pair of high waisted wide leg trousers as they enhance my shape. The accent on the waist will give the curvier silhouette that hourglass look by cinching in the waist. Whilst on the other hand the loose fitting will add some volume to those who are less curvier and want a fuller shape. Perfect for all occasions whether it be for a daytime look or for a formal evening dinner.
HIGH WAISTED WIDE LEG TROUSERS
What I love about these beige high waisted wide leg trousers from Zara is that they make my legs appear to be infinitely longer. Now who doesn’t love a pair of trousers that makes their legs appear longer than it is? I always opt for trousers that skim the floor as I find them to be more flattering on me. However, if you are on the petite side or are feeling conscious about feeling swamped you can easily have them taken up.
Now when it came to styling these trousers like I mentioned earlier I took inspiration from Jacquemus. Of course these are perfectly wearable to the office with a white tailored shirt too. I just wanted to feel like I was strutting down the catwalk in a lavender field for Jacquemus, instead of being roasted in the Dubai heat.
So moving on and I opted to style the beige trousers with this black All Saints Monokini to give it some edge. Off course I could have gone for a black cropped top as an alternative which would have worked equally well here. But as I am channelling a catwalk look here, I went for this monokini instead and I think it works rather well and amps up the outfit.
Next and onto this black cropped jacket from April and Alex. This jacket really elevates the ensemble and takes it to the next level. This just adds to the overall look and makes it look like a Jacquemus outfit in my opinion.
Finally when it came to the finishing touches I decided to grab my Rayban sunglasses. As for my shoes I am wearing my black Staud mules. For a pop of colour I opted to wear a red lipstick courtesy of Chanel Coco Rouge. So there you have it my Jaquemus inspired look. Hope this has given you some inspiration too!
What do you think of this Jacquemus inspired look? Is this something you would wear? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
