Good morning everyone, today’s post is on how to style a festival inspired look. Now I am sure some of you a missing the fact that we are not able to go to any festival this year. Well don’t be disheartened we can always dress up and have our own festival. With this in mind I have put together an outfit that will make you festival ready in no time. If however your not into the festival scene that’s ok because this look can be worn to a brunch or a lunch date too!
BRODERIE ANGLAISE DRESS
First up and in my opinion you can’t go wrong with a Broderie Anglaise dress. This one I am wearing is from H&M and is from last year, but don’t worry H&M have done a similar version to the one I am wearing for this year. The dress also happens to come in a midi length too for those of you who are not into mini dresses. I opted for black this time around and what drew me to this dress initially was the long cuffed sleeves. Also love a high neck as I find it very flattering on me. The dress comes with a slip style lining underneath and is in an oversized style. I have the same dress in white too, if you missed my post on it then take a look HERE to see how I styled it.
Moving on and I wanted to give the outfit some shape and nothing does that better than a wide belt. This black one is from Zara and you would have already seen me wearing it on repeat. I absolutely love it as it always transforms my outfits. The belt cinch’s in my waist and just pulls the whole outfit together! The gold buckle works well with the gold chain of my bag.
Next and onto my Calf boots, which are perfect for giving that festival vibe to an outfit. This pair is from Carvela at Kurt Geiger and comes in the scrunched style. They have a slightly slouched fit with ruched detailing to give an elegant statement. The boots have a heel which comes in at 90mm ideal for walking around in and is finished with a pointed toe. You could always opt for some cowboy boots, Ganni do some gorgeous ones, take a look HERE.
Hats are another essential item when it comes to festivals, specially when it is sunny and hot. I added a boater hat to my outfit, but a fedora hat would work equally here. Firstly they keep the sun at bay and secondly they complete a look, well for me they do. This Boater hat is from ASOS and is a couple of years old now. I decided to go for this one rather than my fedora hat just to switch it up a little.
How would you go about styling your festival inspired outfit? Which one of the above items would be your go to? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
