Good morning everyone today’s post is based on these Ballon jeans or (slouchy jeans). Now whether you love them or loathe them they are not going away anytime soon. I initially thought that balloon jeans wouldn’t suit me, but I took the plunge anyway just to try them out and see how they would look in person. The jeans remind of the 90’s and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I actually liked them. So much so that I am looking to purchase a few more in different colours.
Right lets begin with this black pair of Balloon jeans which are from Zara. They were on sale and I managed to find my size which was lucky considering how fast the small sizes tend to go out of stock. Since I have been wearing them around the house and to the supermarkets I have found them to be very versatile. You can easily style them up as well as styling them down depending on where you are headed or how you feel. You would have seen me wearing a blue denim version in one of my previous posts which I bought at the same time as these. If you missed that post then take a look HERE.
So here I opted for a slightly dressed up look, perfect for the weekend. I decided to style the loose fitting balloon jeans with this body suit which is also from Zara. Now by all means you can easily dress it down by pairing it with a pair of sneakers/trainers. Other tops that work well with the balloon jeans are voluminous blouses which creates a fun look. Add a belt to give you some shape, another option would be a shoulder padded tee either in white or black. Last but not least a cropped top would also work as the jeans are high waisted you wouldn’t be showing off a lot of skin.
Next and onto my blazer which is from Karen Millen. this blazer is a few years old now but I love the oversize of it and how it instantaneously makes the outfit look put together. Here I just draped it over my shoulders to add to the aesthetic of the outfit.
Finally finishing off I have accessorised my attire with my rose gold watch from Filippo Loreti. I could have added a gold chain of some sort as that always makes an outfit pop. Gold with black also works rather well in my opinion. Next I grabbed my strappy Steve Madden nude heels, my black Karen Millen clutch and my Le Specs sunglasses in the style Scandal. To complete my look I wore a pop of red on my lips in the shade Red Velvet from Lime Crime Velvetines.
What do you make of these ballon jeans? How would you go about styling them? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
