Good morning everyone, today’s attire is based around this beautiful red dress. Of all the colours I have in my closet, and there isn’t that much colour compared to black and white pieces that I own, red is the colour that comes up trump! I know that not many of you are drawn to red and that’s ok. I find that red always brightens and cheers me up, especially when I used to live in London, on those cold and dreary days.
For those of you who are used to wearing whites and black all the time, you might want to start off with maybe one piece. Once you are more comfortable then why not rock an all head to toe red attire if your brave enough! Even though it is a bold look, wearing an all red ensemble can be incredibly stylish. Why not go for a red blazer paired with some red trousers, a red top and red shoes. Keeping the blazer and trousers the same shade of red, then use other shades of red for the top.
So I was browsing on Net-A-Porter looking for a dress for my birthday and I came a cross this gorgeous red dress from Self-Portrait. I absolutely adore this brand and most of you will know that, as you would have seen me wearing a number of pieces from them previously. This dress is cut from dark red pleated chiffon and come in a fit and flare silhouette. The dress features a tonal lace applique at the hem and is only half lined. I was going to be attending a wedding this June but due to COVID of course it has been postponed. This short sleeve midi chiffon dress would have been my first choice. The perfect style of dress to wear to a wedding in my opinion. For those of you who are interested Self Portrait have a sale on at the moment.
When it came to my shoes I opted for my nude pair from Steve Madden. I could have easily gone for a red pair but just wanted to soften up the outfit hence the reason for choosing them. Personally I thinks nudes and red work rather well together. These simple yet elegant pair of heels amp up the look and give me the elevation I want.
To add another colour to the mix I opted for my vintage gold clutch. Gold is another colour that goes hand in hand with red. This cute little bag is perfect for a night out as well as taking it to a wedding too! With just enough room for a lipstick, a compact, a retractable brush and some gum. These are my essentials for a night out as well as attending a wedding too.
These Le Skinny red/aubergine cat-eye slim sunglasses are from Poppy Lissiman. They instantaneously make an outfit standout and give me all the cool vibes. I am a sucker for sunglasses and wear them most of the time especially now that I live in a sunnier country.
For the finishing touches I am wearing my rose gold Filippo Loreti watch in the style Venice Moonphase. Next and here I chose to wear some gold earring to go with my other gold accessories. Finally to complete my look, on my lips I am wearing the shade Topped With Brandy from M.A.C. with Chanel Adrienne on top.
