Good morning everyone, today’s attire is based around this H&M Studio 2020 maxi dress. Now when I purchased the dress I was looking forward to wearing it to the beach. However because of the current situation I will have to wait a while before I can take it to the beach. I am sure I will make the most of it around the house and by the pool!
The inspiration behind this H&M Studio collection is the Swedish island of Gotland. This raw and refined collection gets it source of inspiration from the lunar-liked landscape and the free-spirited surf culture. So the end result is airy silhouettes, bright rock formation prints and an expressive mix of textures.
So lets get straight into it, this beautiful H&M Studio 2020 maxi dress is just so versatile and can be worn in so many different ways. Like I mentioned earlier it is the ideal dress to be wearing to the beach or lounging around by the pool. But it can also be worn as a day outfit too. So here that is what I have just done when it came to styling this maxi dress. I adore the voluminous sleeves, which have slits on them adding to uniqueness of the dress. The abstract print of the dress is just beautiful and I love the contrast between the colours. I shall be wearing it around the house and by the pool, the beach will have to wait for a while now!
Moving on and onto my shoes, I opted for my black sock boots from Public Desire, which you would have seen wearing in a few of my previous posts. As I was going for a day look I wanted to wear them as they elongate my legs and tie in beautifully with the dress.
Next and my bag of choice is this large basket bag from Loewe. Basket carryall bags are the perfect get-away staple. The bag is fresh, light and versatile with a rustic feel and a market vibe, ideal for strolling around in style from the beach to the city (of course once we can all go out). This hand-woven basket bag has been crafted from palm leaves and has been enriched with high-end classic calfskin details. It works beautifully here with my oversized maxi dress.
For the finishing touches I grabbed my round framed blue tinted sunglasses. This was a present from my eldest son, it’s his secret Santa present for me. Bless him he also got me a lipstick too in a nude colour. He knows me so well! Finally to complete my look I am wearing my go to nude lipstick from M.A.C in the shade Topped With Brandy.
