Good morning everyone today’s post is all about Bermuda shorts. Now you would have seen this trend all over the high street as well as on the catwalk for Autumn/Winter 2019 as well as for Resort 2020 runways. The likes of Chloé, Chanel and Louis Vuitton to name a few. There are few types of Bermuda shorts, from denim, leather to trouser shorts. The latter which can be worn for work as it’s not a short length making it appropriate for the workplace. The Bermuda shorts may not be to everyone’s taste but there are enough variety to get your hands on to try out.
So here is one way I have to style Bermuda shorts. Although the pair I am wearing are not Bermuda shorts, I am going to get them altered so that they are. I prefer the length of the Bermuda shorts rather than the culottes that I have on. I don’t mind at all about getting them altered, as I know they will fit me better.
So lets begin with these culottes which are from Zara. Like I mentioned earlier I am going to get them made shorter so they will become my new Bermuda shorts. These are high waisted which I love, they do come up a little big on me size wise around the waist. However they do have belt loops should I choose to wear one. Also the culottes fasten with a zip fly and metal hook fastening at the front. I was initially looking for a pair of Bermuda shorts, when I stumbled upon these culottes. I just loved how tailored they looked and I was going for a polished look hence the reason for buying them.
Moving on to my top, this top is also from Zara. It was teamed with the culottes and I loved how they both looked together so I had to have it. Love the flow of the top and that it comes in this asymmetrical shape and just works beautifully with the culottes. I personally don’t think Ecru and white go together, however if you wanted to wear a white shirt I would then throw on a Ecru blazer to balance the look.
Next and I opted for my Cult Gaia Millie rattan tote bag which I bought from Net-A-Porter last year. This is the label’s answer to the spring’s straw bag trend, it is just as distinct and cool as their previous ones. This ‘Millie’ style is woven from beige rattan in a spherical silhouette with an equally rounded top handle. It has a linen lining patterned with the vivid print created in collaboration with Brazilian artist Lane Marinho. A cute and unique bag which has enough room for all my daily essentials. Also with Spring around the corner it is the Ideal bag to make any look stand out!
Now onto my shoes and as I have recently purchased these bad boys from Staud at Net-A-Porter. I really wanted to get as much wear as them as possible, not only that but they are deal and perfect for the Dubai heat. Just love these cream ‘Keith’ mules, they are made from croc-effect leather and have a knotted thong toe post. They come a fluted kitten style heel which is perfect for those days I am walking around a lot.
As for my sunglasses I decided to grab this pair which is from Illesteva. I bought them from Net-A-Porter on sale, love how they elevate my look to another level. The white Isabella sunglasses feature cat-eye frames, tinted lenses and the brand logo on the internal arms.
Finally for the finishing touches I am wearing my rose gold watch from Filippo Loreti. As for my make-up I am wearing my nude lipstick here in the shade Topped With Brandy in the Retro Matte Lip colour by M.A.C to complete my look.
