Good morning everyone, today’s post is all about the bodysuit. Now Christmas is only round the corner and so like most of you it’s that time to get your party pieces into order. Whether you are buying new pieces or re-styling what you already have in your closets. Even if it is one piece, I would highly recommend getting a bodysuit, such a versatile piece of clothing which is a triple threat. You can effectively not worry about any under garments, so no bras and no undies, also no need for a top as the bodysuit acts as one too!
The fit of the bodysuit is very flattering and they are ideal teamed with high-waisted shorts, trousers and pencil skirts. All of which are my favourite items to wear! Also with a bodysuit I don’t have to worry about constantly adjusting and tucking in my top. Which is something I find very annoying and irritating. There is a number of super soft fabrics that have been used to make the bodysuit which is perfect for lounging around the house in. Not to mention the fact that they can be rather sexy for a night out too!
Before I get started on my attire here is a brief catch up on what has been happening in mum life. So you may all know that we are currently residing in Dubai. I can safely say that we are now somewhat settled. Didn’t realise how long it was going to take to get things into order. I guess that was me being a little naive and thinking we would be settled in a month.
It’s not that easy trying to find a place to live, look for furnishing as well as find tutors for the boys. So after some intensive searching and interviewing, we have found two teachers which are the right fit for the boys. Not only that we have also sorted out their music lessons and extra curricular activities too.
Now just have to sort out the last bit of furnishing for the villa and we should be done. It took a little longer in our case as we had to sort everything out ourselves, most expat’s don’t have to deal with majority of the things we had come across as their company sorts that out for them. For us that wasn’t so as my husband is self employed so everything was on us to sort out.
Right lets get back to the ensemble at hand and to this this gorgeous bodysuit. This velour number is from H&M and is super soft and and has these stud details all over. It comes in long sleeves that are puffed at the shoulders with a v-neck. I knew I would love it the minute I saw it and was not disappointed once it arrived and I tried it on. Bodysuits are effortless in my opinion and do wonders for the figure. One can be sure to create a polished and put together outfit with ease. With that in mind I have put this look together to show you how easy it can be.
So moving onto my shorts and I teamed these faux leather high waisted pair from Zara here with my bodysuit. Love a pair of Bermuda paperbag waist shorts. These feature side pockets, a belt in the same fabric with a metal buckle. The contrast of the two fabrics works so well together. Of course I could have easily styled the bodysuit with some jeans for a dressed down look.
Next and here I have decided to style my H&M bodysuit with my knee high black boots from Carvela at Kurt Geiger. The style of the boot is called Whirl and if you are interested they are on sale now. I am sure that they only have one or two sizes left in stock (so hurry). These have a slight slouch to them, which I don’t mind at all. They actually stay up and I don’t have to keep pulling them up like some of my other pairs that I have worn previously. A great pair of boots that would lift any outfit whether it be a crisp workwear or a laid back weekend attire.
The material is in this gorgeous butter-soft suede with a smooth lining which adds to the comfort. They are just so comfortable and easy to walk around in. This tall boot is detailed only with light tonal stitching, and has tapered mid heels with pointed toes that create a chic silhouette .
Onto my Fedora hat, this one is from Whistles. I always find that a hat always elevates my look and gives it the statement worthy feel I am looking for. Great for those sunny days to keep the rays out of my face.
As for my bag I opted to stick to the colour black and picked my Teddy Blake Bella bag. Lets begin with the design of the bag which channels both classic and modern lines making it perfect for me. The sharp and structured shape has been crafted in Italy. The bag features an organised suede red interior with a central compartment and full length zipper side pockets. You can expand the sides for extra space should you need it. It also come with an detachable/adjustable shoulder strap so you can wear it cross body too. The ideal bag that can take me from day to evening effortlessly.
Finally for the finishing touches I am wearing my Le Specs trusted sunglasses in the style Prince LTD. This mirrored aviator pair instantaneously gives me that added glamour I’m looking for as well as shielding me from the sun. Last but not least on my lips I am wearing the shade Feels So Grand in the Retro Matte Lip colour by M.A.C. So there you have it my complete look based around my velour bodysuit.
