Good morning everyones today’s attire is based on how to style a wrap skirt. In the late 1960’s the wrap skirt was first introduced and it became very popular. The trend went on till the early 1970’s and today the vintage style is still on trend. I am sure you are all aware of the wrap dress, Diane von Furstenberg’s signature iconic silhouette that most of us obsess over. The wrap dress is a staple in some of our closets. Here I am styling the next must-have, it’s lesser-known sibling the wrap skirt. There are an array of skirts out there that come in the wrap style, whether it be a mini, maxi, denim or silk. Wrap skirts also come in every print, colour and length you can think of.
One wonderful thing about a wrap skirt is that not only does it look great on but it is also very comfortable to wear. They are so easy to style and fit many different body types, what’s not to love right!

So to my beautiful wrap skirt which I was kindly gifted by Odd Molly. The extravaganza wrap skirt comes in this gorgeous print which is their own in house design. I am loving the flounce around the bottom edge, the wrap skirt has a security button at the waist too. So no need to worry about the tie at the side coming undone and revealing my modesty. I have styled my wrap skirt here for a spot of brunch, plus I live in a warmer climate so I have gone for something which will keep me cool but also look pulled together at the same time. Like a pencil skirt, the wrap skirt also makes for a chic office wear. Pair the wrap skirt with a shirt and maybe add a belt too, then finish off with some knee high boots and voila all set for the office.
For a casual look, put on a graphic white tee or even a plain white one which will also work really well and then some sneakers/trainers to complete the ensemble. For days when it is rather chilly pair the wrap skirt with a chunky knit. Next add some knee high boots and drape over your shoulders a coat of your choice. For a more polished look why not team the wrap skirt with a fitted full sleeve black polo neck. Add some heels and accessories that compliment the ensemble.
Here I opted to style the wrap skirt with my Zara beige-pink bodysuit. I have also bought them in black and white, they feel great on and are just fab if I do say so myself. Must admit I saw them first on Rosie Huntington-Whitely and she looked amazing in them. I wasn’t holding my breath as I really thought they would have been sold out being so popular. As with most Zara “It” items they seem to get snapped up rather quickly. Well not this time and they still have them available in all the sizes. Love how the tone of the halter neck bodysuit works so well with my wrap skirt.
Next and I decided to wear my black ankle booties from Karen Millen. I have to confess most of my shoes were still in London, I only bought over a few as we were getting the rest shipped over to Dubai. Hence the reason for wearing the couple I did bring over on repeat. Finally they have arrived and I can switch it up a little or buy some new ones.
As for my bag I grabbed my black Rosie shoulder bag from Modalu England. An opulent black bag that can transform any ensemble, here I have worn it without the straps. The bag is in a square silhouette and made from brushed velvet and satin fabric. Inside there is a triple compartment for all my essentials. Finished off with a flap and Modalu branded magnetic closure.
Finally for the finishing touches I went for my Rapture sunglasses from Le Specs. These black pair are in the cat-eye style and you all know how much I adore them. On my lips I am wearing the lipstick shade Topped with Brandy from M.A.C to complete my look.
