HOW TO STYLE A SWIMSUIT INTO YOUR EVERYDAY OUTFIT

Good morning everyone, today’s attire is all about incorporating a swimsuit into your everyday outfit. I mean why do we have to wait to to wear them just for the beach. In the UK summer is so short and rarely that hot, so I decided that I wasn’t going to hang about and wait till I was on vacation to wear my swimsuit. Of course saying that it has to be the right swimsuit and a one piece at that. Find that right one and you can style it in multiple ways.

ONE PIECE SWIMSUIT

Now lets begin with my white swimsuit which is from Norma Kamali @Net-A-Porter and is in the style Butterfly Mio. So as I was saying earlier about finding the right swimsuit well you can’t go wrong with a solid colour one piece in my opinion. Here I have gone for a white one with ruching texture, this makes the swimsuit a bit more interesting. The criss cross detailing at the back adds another dimension to the swimsuit.

KIMONO

Moving on I opted to layer up and use my Diamantine Maya Kimono to do so. This long sleeve geometric print comes in a stunning light-weight chiffon and is the perfect layering piece for summer. Finished with contrast edging it can be styled like I have here or for an evening look too.

SHORTS

Next and I wore my high waisted denim shorts from Zara. You can easily team the swimsuit with a skirt or some wide leg trousers which would work equally well here. I went for a dressed down approach and opted for the distressed denim shorts.

ESPADRILLES

When it came to shoes I had to go for my trusted Chiara espadrilles from Castaner @Net-A-Porter. My go to shoes for summer and ones that work with most of my outfits and are extremely comfortable to wear and walk around in. Also the fact they come in lace-ups is another added bonus for me as I truly can’t resist a pair of shoes with lace-ups.

BASKET BAG

Next and onto my basket bag from Loewe, basket carryall bags are the perfect summer staple. The bag is fresh, light and versatile with a rustic feel and a market vibe, ideal for strolling around in style from the beach to the city. This hand-woven basket bag has been crafted from palm leaves and has been enriched with high-end classic calfskin details.

FINISHING TOUCHES

As for the finishing touches I am wearing my bold white Illesteva sunglasses, which adds a perfect amount of drama and glamour to this look. Another cat-eye pair of sunglasses I could not resist and so glad I ended up purchasing them as I have been wearing them on repeat. Finally on my lips I am wearing my Chanel nude lipstick in the shade Adrienne to complete my look. So there you have it one way to incorporate swimsuits into your everyday outfit.

The white swimsuit is fabulous and pairs nicely with the kimono! Such a great beach look that could be worn to places other than the sandy shoreline of an ocean front. I like this look a lot. – http://www.jamilakyari.com

I love this idea! I have so many swimsuits (several are one-piece) and wear them maybe a couple of times a year at most. That outfit looks stunning on you and would also be a great way to go from the beach to grabbing a bite of lunch.
