Good morning everyone, today’s attire is on this daisy print maxi dress. It took me a while to jump on board the daisy train. Floral print is not one I gravitate towards generally, so when I came across this maxi dress, I knew it was one I was going to be able wear over and over again as oppose to wearing it once and leaving it in the back of my wardrobe. Daisies have taken over our Instagram feeds and our wardrobes too, some more than others thanks to RIXO, Ganni, Shrimps and Realisation Par. Designers have begun to rethink how they work this floral trend on easy to wear separates as opposed to floaty summer dresses. The Daisy print is for sure the flower for Spring/Summer 2019.
DAISY PRINT MAXI DRESS
Lets begin with my daisy print maxi dress from RIXO. I came across this dress on Net-A-Porter and since it was on sale it was hard to say no to. I had been browsing through the RIXO collection as I had previously bought two other pieces from their collection. A skirt and a blouse which I wore in my previous posts. The Kristen dress comes in this Mono Leopard Daisy print, it is cut to flatter with a tiered skirt. A dress that is sure to brighten the dreariest of days. Also very versatile so whether you choose to dress it up for a special occasion or down with some sneakers/trainers you can’t go wrong in my opinion.
So here I opted to style my daisy print maxi dress with my black Castaner Espadrilles. We were heading out for lunch by the river so this was just ideal. The Castaner’s give me that little elevation I want without compromising on comfort. My favourite summer shoes for sure and this brand is my number one go to for espadrilles.
Next and onto my basket bag from La Petite Sardine. Say hello to Maria Peixeira a feminine and innocent edition inspired by the raw beauty of the sea. The bag is exclusively designed and produced by using only wicker and respecting all the old techniques of production used in the Portuguese basketry. Due to the handcrafted nature of their bags there might be slight imperfections, so for that reason each basket bag slightly differs in shape, size and colour. Basket bags are another summer staple piece and there are so many different variations out there!
Moving onto my accessories first off I wore my Karen Millen belt to cinch me in at the waist. The wide belt just adds to the overall look and ties in beautifully. On my lips I am wearing my Chanel nude lipstick in the shade Adrienne. Switching it from my usual Lime Crime Teddy Bear matt lipstick. Before heading out I grabbed my white oval sunglasses from River Island to complete my ensemble. Right so there you have it, all ready for my lunch by the river.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read my blog post. What do think of this Daisy print maxi dress? Do you like the daisy print? Are you someone who owns this print already? Do let me know by leaving a comment below.
