Good morning everyone today’s ensemble is on what to wear to Wimbledon. Now this is one of my favourite sporting events and living right next to Wimbledon there is no getting away from it. Just this morning I saw a Wimbledon car driving past our house as I was putting out the rubbish.
We are now into the second week of Wimbledon and so far there has been some awesome matches. It’s great to see Serena Williams building on her game as she plays each match having not played that many this year. The Australian tennis player Ash Barty is playing extremely well. As for the men Novak, Rafa and Roger are still in the second round. Can you tell how excited I am!
BRODERIE ANGLAIS DRESS
So first off I always love to see white being worn to Wimbledon. Hence the reason I have opted to wear this white Broderie Anglais dress from H&M. This is the same dress as my black one which I wore in my previous post, if you missed it, HERE it is. Also if you are interested there is also a red version of this dress. The dress comes in a cotton weave with broderie anglais. It has a small frilled collar, an opening with covered buttons at the back of the neck. I love the long raglan sleeves, wide cuffs with a flounce and covered buttons. Not forgetting the flounce at the hem, the inner tunic is a viscose weave which has adjustable shoulder straps. The perfect dress in my opinion for warmer days and one I can wear to Wimbledon.
Next and onto my shoes and here I decided to style my broderie anglais dress with my Castaner Chiara espadrilles from Net-A-Porter. My go to shoes for summer and ones that work with most of my outfits and are extremely comfortable to wear and walk around in. Also the fact they come in lace-ups is another added bonus for me as I truly can’t resist a pair of shoes with lace-ups. The ideal pair of shoes to wear on a day out at Wimbledon.
Moving onto my bag and to this Cult Gaia Millie rattan tote bag which I also bought from Net-A-Porter. This is the label’s answer to the spring’s straw bag trend, it is just as distinct and cool as their previous ones. This ‘Millie’ style is woven from beige rattan in a spherical silhouette with an equally rounded top handle. It has a linen lining patterned with the vivid print created in collaboration with Brazilian artist Lane Marinho. A cute bag which has enough room for all my daily essentials.
So you all know that I need a pair of Sunglasses to go with my attire. This white oval pair is from River Island and you would have seen me wearing them. A few years old but they always make an outfit look instantaneously elevated. They are my perfect statement worthy sunglasses that can make any simple ensemble stand out.
Finally for my finishing touches I am wearing my my Chanel Coco Rouge nude lipstick in the shade Adrienne. A change from my usual Lime crime Teddy Bear that I always wear on repeat. Last but not least to complete the look I am wearing my cylinder gold ring from AUrate New York. So there you have it my finished attire worthy of wearing to Wimbledon.
