Good morning everyone, today’s attire is based around this gorgeous Dress by Rotate Birger Christensen. Once in a while I stumble across a new brand and fall in love with all the pieces. Rotate is one of those brands for me and I could easily and happily buy all their pieces. I have already bought three dresses from the brand thus far! I am truly addicted, the brand speaks to my personal taste and I for one cannot wait to see what they bring out in the future.
ROTATE is a Copenhagen-based brand from Birger Christensen in partnership with Danish stylists and influencers, Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars. ROTATE specialises in dresses and is a response to the pair’s musing on the gaps in their own wardrobes, the pieces they dream of having in their lives.
Before I get started let me fill you in what has been happening in Mum Life this week. A rather busy one as it is nearing the end of the school year. First off Wyatt had a performers platform which he played his Clarinet extremely well. It was a Jazz piece which involved improvising majority of the time.
He also passed his Grade 5 clarinet exam with flying colours! As you can imagine I am extremely proud of him. It was also Wyatt and Zeke’s sports day yesterday, they managed to get through the day although it was raining most of the second half. The boys were happy as was I that it ended a little earlier then scheduled. Eli’s sports day is on Friday and it’s not a must for me to go and watch. Although I was surprised that he asked me to watch two of his events.
DRESS BY ROTATE
Right lets begin on this dress by Rotate, the founders have taken the 80’s as inspiration. This is evident in the puffed sleeves which have already become a signature for the brand. I am a sucker for statement sleeves and the sleeves on this dress really do stand out! So you can see why I gravitated towards it as soon as it caught me eye, it is gathered along the yoke to create extra volume. A checked twill mini dress with a thigh-grazing hem. I mean what’s not to love, if your interested it is currently on sale! Here I have opted to wear my Karen Millen belt to cinch me in at the waist.
Next and I decided to style my dress by Rotate with my calf boots from Carvela at Kurt Geiger. I am sure you are all very familiar with them as I have worn them in several of my previous posts. They are in the style ‘Scrunch’ and give the outfit that day time appeal yet still looking put together. These mid-calf boots have a pointed toe and are slightly elevated on a stylish cone heel for maximum comfort.
THE BAGUETTE BAG
Moving onto my black Baguette bag from Agnes Nordenholz. Love this little bag so much especially the baguette rope handle. What a great way to add some instant cool and quirkiness to an outfit. If you love this bag as much as I do then you will also fall in love with her collection. Take a look HERE, trust me you will not be disappointed!
So for the finishing touches to this dress by Rotate, I decided to wear my Le Specs Sunglasses. These mirrored aviator pair work so well with the entire ensemble, it was a really easy choice to make. Not only do they look great in my opinion they also give off that extra edgy vibe. On my lips I am wearing the nude shade Teddy Bear from Lime Crime velvetines. Here I decided to go for a nude colour as the outfit was bold enough. Finally on my ring I a wearing my gold ring from AUrate New York which ties in beautifully with the gold detailing of my Baguette bag.
