Good morning everyone, today’s attire is based on this H&M Conscious Utility playsuit. I am trying my best to wear more and more sustainable clothing these days. Well it’s a start and H&M have done an excellent job in making sure the style of the garments remained to their usual standards.
H&M products that feature the Conscious hangtag contain a bigger share of recycled or sustainably sourced materials than their other products. These types of materials are better for the environment because they use less water, energy and chemicals than conventional materials and therefore have less of a negative impact on our planet.
Most Conscious products contain at least 50% recycled or other sustainably sourced materials – in fact many contain 100% – but there are some exceptions due to technological limitations. For example, to ensure product quality and durability, the maximum share of recycled cotton we can currently use in a garment is 20%. We are however, working with new innovations to increase this share as soon possible.
Right lets begin with the main item of clothing this beige Utility Playsuit from H&M. It comes in a softly draping Tencel lyocell and viscose weave with a collar, buttons at the top and has flap chest pockets. Gathered yoke, long sleeves with buttoned cuffs, a seam with wide elastication at the waist and a detachable fabric belt with a covered buckle. Side pockets and fake welt back pockets. The fabric feels really soft and is lightweight ideal for those hot summer days. Now currently as it is not that hot here in London I have opted to wear it with a blazer.
Speaking of Blazers, this is my black oversized Karen Millen one. You would have seen this pop up several times in my previous posts. If you have not then why not take a look at one HERE. As always draping a tailored blazer on your shoulders elevates an outfit and makes it look more put together. This oversized blazer has leather detailing around the neck area and is tailored perfectly in my opinion. It has a single button fastening at the front centre, for me Karen Millen can’t do no wrong when it comes to outerwear.
Moving onto the shoes and I opted to wear my Carvela Calf length boots from Kurt Geiger. They are in the style ‘Scrunch’ and give the outfit that festival vibe yet still looking put together. These mid-calf boots have a pointed toe and are slightly elevated on a stylish cone heel for maximum comfort.
Next an onto my black Fedora hat from Whistles. This is ideal for keeping the sun at bay and also making a simple outfit look more statement worthy should you choose to.
Keeping with the black and beige theme I decided to go for my black Agnes Nordenholz Baguette bag. This was gifted to me and I absolutely adore it and have been wearing it on repeat. I mean just look at the rope handle detailing, what’s not to love! There are so many other unique bags that are available on her website. Take a look HERE, you will not be disappointed!
Now for the finishing touches I am wearing my ‘Scandal’ sunglasses from Le Specs x Adam Selman. Another pair of cat-eye sunglasses that I can’t get enough of. On my finger I am wearing my gold cylinder ring from AUrate New York. Finally to complete my look I am wearing Lime Crime Veletines matt lipstick in the shade Teddy Bear.
