Good morning everyone, today’s ensemble is based around this Mango straw hat. I think I can safely say that Spring is in full bloom, the past few days have been warm and glorious. So perfect timing to wear the straw hat. Taking it’s cue from Jacquemus who famed the oversized accessory in his ‘La Bomba’ collection. The oversized straw hat has become the must-have accessory for Spring/Summer. Whether you go big, medium or small, the straw hat is a staple for this season as much as florals are. It is the perfect accessory for keeping the sun at bay as well as giving you that cool it girl vibes!
Right lets begin with this beautiful straw hat from Mango. Now ever since I saw the oversized Jacquemus hats I wanted to get my hands on one! I didn’t want to rush out and splurge on the Jacquemus, hence the reason opting for this Mango one. I wanted to test and try this out and see how much wear I was going to get. Personally I adore wearing hats anyway, so when this arrived and I tried it, I instantly knew that it was a keeper at first and secondly that I was for sure going to be wearing it as much as possible. This straw hat comes with a contrast black ribbon which can be worn undone or tied like I have here.
Next I decided I was going for a monochromatic look and opted to wear a white shirt. This sleeveless back lace number is from Mango too! I tend to find that Mango do some gorgeous white shirt and blouses. I love to wear white during the Spring/Summer months, I am sure some of you do too. The shirt comes in a flowy fabric with a funnel neck. Has a gathered detailing around the neck area and a bow closing at the back.
Moving on to my shorts and I wanted to stay with white and wore these elegant pair from Zara. These flowing off-white high waisted Bermuda shorts with matching belt detail and front pleats are from Zara. Yes you read correctly they are indeed from Zara! I came across them last year, they feel so soft to touch and look great on, I am thrilled that I bought them. They look so much more expensive then they are and look so chic. You could easily dress them down of course. I have had so many compliments and people asking me about where I have purchased them from.
Onto my new favourite bag, this baguette one from Agnes Nordenholz. I introduced this bag to you all in my last post and since receiving it I have been wearing it on repeat. Such a cute and elegant bag which comes with two inter changeable straps. The one I am wearing and the Baguette rope style strap which will be featured in my next post. So look out for that in the next few days!
When it came to my shoes my favourite kind are my espadrilles. So here I am wearing my Casataner Chaira espadrilles in black, these were popularised in Spain in the ’30s. They are set on a jute wedge heel, made from canvas and finished with ribbon ties. My go-to wedges to wear during the Spring/Summer months or on vacation.
For my finishing touches, first off my trusted sunglasses. This oval white pair you would have seen me wearing in my previous post is from River Island. Such a cool pair of sunglasses that instantly amps up a look and gives it that statement I am going for. Ties in beautifully with the rest of my outfit. On my lips I am wearing the shade Teddy Bear from Lime Crime Velevtines to complete my attire. This would be an Ideal ensemble for the up coming Wimbledon tournament, or for a day out at the Henley Royal Regatta!
