Good morning everyone on this fine chilly morning, today’s attire is based on this Topshop satin slip dress. That’s right ladies satin fever has hit us again and this time in the form of satin slip dresses and who can really blame us. There are so many styles and colours too choose from you really are spoilt for choice. On top of that they are stylish and versatile, which ever way you decide to style them. Whether you layer it up with a roll neck jumper and some knee high boots for a more casual look or pair them with some heels for a night out!
In Mum Life this week, the boys are all back at school. As always the first few days feels extremely quiet without them and I do miss having them around. However, this doesn’t last long, as I am back to being much more productive with my blog posts and all my daily routine.
SATIN SLIP DRESS
So lets get back to the ensemble at hand and to this beautiful chocolate coloured satin slip dress. This is from Topshop, and as always when it comes to super-chic dresses, they seem to be on top of it! If you haven’t got your hands on one yet, then may I just tell you that they come in an array of colours. Nine to be exact, ranging from plain ones like mine to daisy prints. And if you really want to take a walk on the wild side there is also a Tiger print!
Moving onto my boots I opted to wear my leopard print sock boots. These gorgeous pair are from Public Desire and are the easiest way to amp up the look without having to do much else. They are a close dupe for the Balenciaga knife boots. Now a pair of trainers/sneaker would also work, for a more relaxed look. However I just wanted to style it up with the heels and the leopard print. Adding the leopard print just gives the overall look some instant cool girl vibes. If you wanted to go for a non print pair of boots by all means do just that.
Now onto my blazer and you would have already seen me wear this black one several times already in my previous posts. It comes in an oversized style and is from Karen Millen. The blazer has these faux leather detailing around the neck area which gives the illusion of lapels. A must-have staple piece in my opinion as it works with almost all outfits! I decided to drape it over my shoulders here.
Next and onto the bag, I opted to stay with black and teamed my Modalu Rosie shoulder bag with this ensemble. An opulent black bag that can transform any ensemble, it’s so chic and elegant with plenty of room and space. The bag is in a square silhouette and made from brushed velvet and satin fabric. Inside there is a triple compartment for all your essentials. Finishing off with a flap and the Modalu branded magnetic closure.
Of course for me an outfit is never complete until I am wearing my sunglasses. These gorgeous pair are from Nordstrom by Adam Selman x Le Specs. You know me I can’t resist a pair of cat eye sunglasses and this one is no different. Totally loving the Matrix vibe I am giving off here. Why not take a look HERE for a few more selections of cat eye sunglasses.
