Good morning everyone, now I know most of you are still attending your office Christmas parties if you have not not done so as of yet. But the countdown to the New Year’s Eve party is on! So with that in mind todays attire is based on the perfect New Year Outfit. Here are some styling tips that will have you feeling confident and looking your best on the biggest party night of the year. New Year’s Eve is one of those occasions when we want to amp up the glamour, even if we are doing something quiet and low-key. I feel like we owe it to ourselves and to the occasion to look sensational to welcome in the New year!!!
So, however you intend to spend your New year’s Eve, whether it be spending it with friends, drinking and eating, watching fireworks with loved ones, or throwing your own little party, you want to glam up the occasion.
Right if you want to wear a long/maxi or a short dress, Self-Portrait is definitely the place to find the perfect New Years Eve outfit. The outfit that will give you that ‘wow’ factor you are looking for. No matter what your personal style, Self-Portrait has the gorgeous gowns, the fabulous jumpsuits and the beautiful frocks, you want. And all of them incorporate the season’s major party-wear trends including, sheer, texture and of course lace.
I have mentioned in my previous post about how much I adore Self-Portrait. I find the pieces to be unique with that added statement bonus. This beautiful ivory mini dress I am wearing is fitted to the waist and falls to a pleated mini skirt. The halter neck bodice suspends from a gold chain neckline and is layered with a flattering off shoulder bust panel. The style is trimmed with contrasting black lace trims and is cinched to the waist with a black faux leather belt.
Next and onto my gold glittering bag to give the overall look some shimmer. The best way to do that, if your like me and are not into glittery dresses is through your accessories. This gorgeous glitter shoulder bag is from none other than Karen Millen. The bag is just the perfect size for all your essentials for a night out.
As for my shoes after much thought and deliberation I went for these black shoe boots with lace-ups from Kurt Geiger. They go wonderfully with this outfit and the gold buckles ties in with the bag. However, I could have easily chosen a gold pair which would have worked equally. But, on this occasion I chose to pick the black from the dress and match my shoes to that.
If you are heading out for the evening, why not drape a blazer or a coat over your shoulder. This off-white one I am wearing is from Zara and it is from a few years ago, this goes beautifully with the dress and the gold buttons ties in effortlessly with the gold accessories.
So onto the accessories and to my earrings, these gold drop ball pair are from Happiness Boutique. They are very light weight and and I absolutely adore them. Next and onto my velvet gloves, these are vintage and have truly lasted me the test of time. They just give the whole outfit that added chic and keep my hands warm at the same time. I am wearing my Venice Moonphase Rose Gold Mesh watch from Filippo Loreti. As for my makeup I kept it very minimal with a winged black eyeliner, therefore letting the bold red lip standout. I am wearing the shade RiRi Woo from M.A.C. Finally to finish off my look I am wearing ‘The Scandal‘ sunglasses from Le Specs x Adam Selman. Voila and there you have it, the finished look!
