Good morning everyone, so here is my second party wear edit. My last post was on me wearing a jumpsuit for the up coming party season, if you have not read it HERE it is. Now It’s never to early to start hunting for that LBD, the one that is chic and on trend yet sufficiently festive enough to merit you as the centre of attention. With that in mind here is my first LBD for the party season. Of course if your like me then you really can’t have enough LBD’s in your wardrobe. I like to own at least one in every variation possible. Whether it’s long sleeve, short sleeve, off the shoulder, cold shoulder, Bardot style or one shoulder I have to have them all! Anyone else concur? What style will you be going for your party wear this season?
In Mum life it’s getting busier at school with the lead up to Christmas. Eli performed at performers platform last week with his guitar ensemble. There is the Christmas Carol Service that is coming up. Also the Christmas Bazaar which is always fun for the younger children. They love to go round the stalls purchasing gifts for themselves and family members. This is all done at school and the parents help out to organise and sell the items at a low price of course!
Right lets get back to my attire, who else loves a LBD as much as me? I mean one of the easiest party wear items to style. This little number is from Femme Luxe, the dress fits me like a glove and on top of that is just so beautiful with the buttons running down the side. It comes with a waist tie belt, a little slit on the side and wide straps on the shoulders. Also perfect for dancing the night away as the dress is in a stretchy fabric and not at all rigid. At an affordable price what more could you ask for!
Next I opted to pair my LBD with these stunning pair of ankle boots from Kurt Geiger. These black velvet ankle boots in the style Reign features light top stitching, a slick pointed toe, a concealed zip which features a gold-tone puller. The piece de resistance has to be the cylindrical heel, which has a gold-tone ribbed finish, just the thing for offsetting the pitch black uppers.
Moving onto my coat and the onto the on trend coat of the moment the leopard print. This coat is from Karen Millen and I am absolutely loving it as I have been wearing it on repeat. This keeps me warm as well as giving me that statement look I am going for.
As for my bag I decided to go for this black one from Modalu England in the style Rosie. An opulent black bag that can transform any ensemble, here I opted to wear it without the straps. The bag is in a square silhouette and made from brushed velvet and satin fabric. Inside there is a triple compartment for all your essentials. Finishing off with a flap and Modalu branded magnetic closure. Such a sleek bag and the added bonus is that it is currently on sale! Another option would have been to style this outfit with a gold coloured bag to go with the heels of my boots and my earrings!
Speaking of earring these gold drop ball pair are from Happiness Boutique and they add some added flair to the ensemble. As for the finishing touches I wore my Whistles black fedora hat for some more warmth. I then grabbed my cat-eye sunglasses which are from ASOS, of course for an evening party you may want to opt out of the sunglasses. But of course you don’t have too! By all means rock the sunglasses indoor. On my lips I am wearing Red Velvet from Lime Crime Velvetines. Finally finishing of my look I am wearing my gold cylinder ring which is from AUrate New York.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read my fashion blog. What party wear are you intending to wear? Do you have a dress, jumpsuit or a suit picked out already? Please do let me know by leaving a comment below.
