Good morning everyone, today’s ensemble is on how to dress for the party season. It is literally round the corner and I thought I would show you all a few different outfits I have put together. This is the first of three, there are so many ways for you to dress well, stay warm and look fabulous at the same time! Before I get started just a side not, finding it rather difficult at the moment to get things done as I can feel my body fighting something. Feeling very tired, but have loaded my self with some vitamin C and going to push on.
In Mum Life, the boys have all been battling with the dreaded cold and flu and have all been off school at some point. I guess now it’s my time to come down with whatever virus they have had, always the way, having said that I have managed to escape it the pervious two years. As I sit here tapping away Eli is with me at home as he has a stomach ache and on top of that managed to hurt his fingers playing football last night and they are swollen! So no rest for me then, life of a mama hey! Right lets get back to my attire and how to dress fabulously for the party season.
Who else loves a jumpsuit as much as me? They are one of my favourite things to wear and I find them very easy to style. I have accumulated a number of them over the years and honestly can’t get enough of them. Jumpsuits can be styled up a million different ways and are the best as they are the socially acceptable onesie! This gorgeous black one I am wearing is from Reiss and comes in a high neck which I absolutely adore! Sleeveless and backless to show off some skin should you choose to do so. Now I could have easily teamed it with a blouse and if this was a v neck jumpsuit I would have done just that.
Talking of blouses they are another one of my favourite items to wear, specially layered under a jumpsuit. The styles, designs and versatility of them are endless so I always find myself stocking up for the party season. So many different ways to wear them whether they are layered under a blazer or styled with some tailored trousers they never fail to achieve a well put together and on trend outfit. The pussy bow style is just perfect for the party season. There are so many blouses on the high street in either chain or paisley print taking their cue from Gucci. Teamed with a jumpsuit it works rather well and keeps you warm too if you opt out of wearing a coat.
Now I have styled this fur stole across body but could have easily worn it on my shoulders. This is a Karen Millen stole which I purchased several years ago. Just adds some instant glamour in my opinion and adds another dimension to the overall look. A perfect item of clothing for the party season teamed with a faux fur jacket! To keep the stole in place and also give me some shape I am wearing my Karen Millen black waist belt.
Lets move onto my shoes and to these pewter sparkly pair of boots by Steve Madden from Dune. I am not a glittery sparkly kind of gal, so I tend to wear accessories to give me a little sparkle. When I came across these Wifey style boots I just could not resist. On top of that I knew they would go perfectly with my clutch. They sure do make a statement without being over the top. Punctuated with sparkling studs and a fitted sharp pointed toe which peaks out under my wide leg jumpsuit. Finished with a slimline stiletto heel and a side zip fastening to give me that elevation I need.
As I mentioned the boots go perfectly with my pewter studded clutch which is from LK Bennet. Now I have had this clutch for about nine years and it always makes an appearance during the wedding season and the party season.
To finish off my attire I wore my silver Swarovski drop earrings to carry on the sparkle. As for my watch I am wearing the Venice Moonphase Rose Gold Mesh from Filippo Loreti. To add some colour I am wearing Red Velvet matt lipstick from Lime Crime Velvetines. Of course for me an outfit is never complete until I am wearing my sunglasses. These gorgeous pair are from Nordstrom by Adam Selman x Le Specs. You know me I can’t resist a pair of cat eye sunglasses and this one is no different. Giving me the Matrix vibe which I am absolutely loving. Why not take a look HERE for a few more selections of cat eye sunglasses.
