Good morning everyone, todays look is on Knit dresses. I don’t know about you all, but around this time of year leading up to Autumn/Winter I always end up buying at least one knit dress if not more. My favourite place to purchase a knit dress is from Karen Millen. So used to the size and fit of their dresses that I don’t even have to worry about it not fitting me.
Its the perfect item of garment for layering up and staying warm when the temperature drops. You can either dress it up or down depending when whether your going for a day look or for a night out. My look is based on a night out. However for a day look I would team it up with a pair of thigh high boots and throw on a trench on top. This look works better in my opinion with slouchy knit dresses.
In Mum Life, Its been full on with all the extra curricular activities on the go, I am back to chauffeuring the boys around from one place to another. So its been a rather tiresome week after two months of break. Just have to get back into the swing of things. Eli has settled in well at Senior school, I am hoping this new lease of energy he has continues. Only time will tell, I am quietly confident that he will maintain it, as he is one of those kids who loves to learn and spend time with his friends.
For Wyatt it is a crucial year for him as he will be sitting his 11 plus exams in January. So it will be full on for him until then. As for Zeke week one was good for him but now his not so keen. Some mornings he is fine and there are other mornings he doesn’t seem to want to go. We are getting there slowly and he has made such a progress from when he was in year 2.
Right lets get back to my Knit dress, which I mentioned earlier was from Karen Millen. This black stud embellished bodycon dress is just gorgeous and fits me like a glove. The studs are shaped in these cute gold domes running down the arms, the front and around the waist. It comes in long sleeves with a round neck and falls just about the knee for me. Here you have it a simple knit dress that has been instantly elevated by these gold embellished dome shaped studs. What would have been your plain average knit dress is now a statement piece thanks to the gold studs. Knit dresses are a staple piece of garment for me during the Autumn/Winter season. Why not check out the rest of Karen Millen’s knit wear collection here.
Next and onto my trusted peep toe booties which are also from Karen Millen. These are from an old season, however Karen Millen do the same style with a slight change in the booties to freshen them up. Therefore you can find similar ones here. My pair comes in stretchy sock style with high stiletto heels. Perfect for a night out in my opinion, although dancing in them is not that great after an hour or so, as I tested it out once!
So moving onto my accessories and to my “birdcage bag” as my husband so kindly put it. This is the Cult Gaia mini Dome bag, I just adore how unique it is and how easy it is to carry all my essentials in. I then grabbed my ASOS cat-eye sunglasses, these are your affordable alternative to the Le Specs x Adam Selman pair here. Finishing off my look with my nude lipstick from Lime Crime Velvetines in the shade Teddy Bear. As for my nails I wore the shade OPI Red from OPI Nails. Now I am all ready to hit the town!
