A Self-Portrait Jumpsuit sure does make a statement, they are without a doubt, a statement style. I am a little obsessed with this label as you may have seen from my previous posts. Apart from the guipure lace material the design of the garments are just second to none. Also I find the fit of the pieces are just perfect and fit me like a glove and I don’t have to make any alterations either. You are sure to find the perfect outfit for lunch or for a night out. I will take any excuse to get dressed I think most of us are like that.
Now I bought this Self-Portrait Jumpsuit just before heading out on our holiday/vacation to Cyprus. I knew it was the perfect outfit for lunch and I couldn’t wait to wear it. I was absolutely thrilled that I managed to find my size and the added bonus, it was on sale!

I’m not the only one who is crazy about this label all you have to do is take a look on instagram. You may have also noticed the royals wearing Self-Portrait too. The label launched at the end of 2013 by Han Chong a graduate of Central Saint Martins. Before launching his own label he was formerly creative director at Three Floors. Since then Self-Portrait has gone from strength to strength each season and I for one am so excited about the A/W18 collection which has so many gorgeous pieces I would love to get my hands on. You won’t believe how reasonably priced they, I am still in aww of the fact that it is so so so reasonably priced. Don’t believe me then why not take a peek here.
So to date I have a few Self-Portrait dresses in my wardrobe and would love to expand that collection by buying a few more items. The thing about this label is that the dresses and jumpsuits are made from beautiful lace that look so feminine. So unique, detailed and absolutely gorgeous no wonder they are so popular. For Eli’s end of year Tea Party a few months ago I wore this beautiful Broderie anglaise white midi dress from Self-Portrait.
Lets get onto my navy cutout guipure lace-trimmed broderie anglaise jumpsuit. This is from last years collection and has a gorgeous lace design and cutout at the waist. The jumpsuit is in a high waisted style which is always flattering for me as they cinch me in. What sold the jumpsuit for me was the cut out detailing, I adore the fact that I can show just enough skin to add some drama to the ensemble. The side pockets have button detailing on them, they are non-functional but adds another dimension to the jumpsuit. The tie straps can be worn on the shoulders should you choose to do so, or you can wear them like I have here. There is a central back zipper with hook-and-eye closure to fasten you in.
Next I opted to pair the Self-Portrait jumpsuit with my Castaner Espadrilles in the colour stone. These have been worn on repeat and I love how comfortable they are. Of course the lace-up is my main love as I am a sucker for them. In my opinion I think these two pairings work so well together. Espadrilles are just perfect for summer and I am dreading about putting them away!
Moving onto my bag and to this Marks and Spencer bag with the pearl details. Just so versatile and works with most of my going out ensembles. A great little bag that fits all my essentials for a lunch date or for a night out. It has a gold chain strap and a magnetic clasp for closure. The pearl details at the front elevates the bag and makes it stand out.
As for my make-up I wore Red Velvet matt lipstick from Lime Crime Velvetines to inject some colour. I know I have been raving on about how good these lipsticks are for sometime now. I can truly say that they are worth every penny for me and I would not be wearing them if they did not sit well on my lips. This red shade is just stunning and universal like Ruby Woo in my opinion.
On my nails I wore OPI in the shade I Believe In Manicures. A subtle shade of blue that is perfect for summer. As for the finishing touches I wore these cubed caged pearl earrings from Karen Millen which are really pretty and subtle. My Cylinder ring is from AUrate New York and ties in perfectly with the gold straps on my bag. My hair was pulled back into a low bun, one way of keeping cool and also keeping the hair out of my face!
Before heading out I wore my Le Specs Rapture Cat-Eye sunglasses to finish off my entire look. I can safely say I am now ready for my lunch date by the beach!
