Good morning everyone, how are you all doing? I’m feeling very energetic and in the mood for tackling all my tasks that I have on my to do list today. Anyone else make to-do lists, and do you stick to it? Todays ensemble is about co-ord style, I must be honest this is my first co-ord outfit. And in my opinion it is so much fun and is also amazing when your in an absolute rush. Specially for those days when you can’t be bothered to pick different separates and put an outfit together! I am an well organised person, well I like to think so but I still find myself rushing around sometimes. Although I have got the art of getting ready down to thirty minutes. It can take even less time on days when I am not wearing a full face of make-up.
Mums at the boys school always ask how I have the time to get ready in the mornings and always look so put together. My response is that I have a routine that I have perfected over time. Therefore it doesn’t take me long to get ready. Plus I always pick out what I am going to wear the night before. Hence the reason I don’t end up faffing around in the morning trying to decide what I am going to wear.
In Mum Life the boys and I went to the movies to watch Ant-Man and The Wasp. We also watched The Incredibles as well. The boys thoroughly enjoyed both the movies and as always lots of discussion followed after of course. In particular after Ant-Man and The Wasp and how it all ties in with the Avengers Infinity War! Zeke is so passionate about the Marvel movies and the Marvel Universe, that it’s so amazing to watch him tell me about what’s going to happen next and to explain the characters and the plot. His eyes just light up and the enthusiasm is just beautiful to see. All three of my boys love to discuss about the Marvel Universe. Although at times it can get a little heated as they don’t agree on who the strongest character is or who happens to be their favourite!
Lets swiftly move onto this co-ord style. If the term “co-ords” isn’t in your fashion vocabulary, well let me tell you it’s shorthand for a co-ordinated look. Well I am sure that most of you already knew this. With the summer sun blazing down on us and even more so this year a matching two-piece could be just the touch of polish your summer wardrobe is lacking. It’s a great outfit option that is easy and breezy to make moving around the city more doable. Or when you are on vacation, works great as a cover up over your swimwear.
From printed pyjama pieces like the one I am wearing to crisp optic white double-denim, skirt suits to matching athleisure staples. This look is more of a softly softly approach with a more relaxed take on a power suit. I’m sure that some of you might be hesitant about this look, well I was at first. I thought I would take the plunge with this H&M PJ style co-ords. At first it reminded me of the 80’s wall paper print my dad put up in our house, maybe thats one reason I was drawn to it! Haha, it’s fashion and it’s all about having fun for me. I adore these wide legged high waisted trousers perfect for the heat and doesn’t stick to your body. The fit of the trousers is just right and perfect for lounging around or taking walks in the city and staying cool.
The shirt is long sleeved and comes with an attached belt to cinch you in the waist should you wish to use it. If prints are not your think there are so many variations of co-ords to choose from that you are sure to turn heads. Lets face it, they are also versatile, you can mix the top or bottom with other prints or neutrals to give you different outfits. Looking pulled together in the sunshine really couldn’t be easier.
Next I paired my co-ords with my Adidas Gazelle trainers. I bought these from Net-A-Porter, at the time I was ordering some other pieces and was on the look out for some trainers for everyday use. My sister had recommended these Gazelle pairs as she owns several of them in different colours. These are very comfortable to wear and I am very happy with them. Personally not your trainer/sneaker kinda girl as I am always in heels. The only time I don’t wear heels is when I am at home or on vacation. Even on vacation I only wear flats if I know I am going to be walking for a long period of time. Funny how in my youth I would live in trainers/sneakers.
My sunglasses are from Hashtag Sunglasses and are in the aviator style Absolutely. Just adore the yellow tinted lens. The finishing touches included me wearing Red Velvet lipstick from Lime Crime Velvetines. Such a beautiful red shade that works so well with my skin tone. On my nails I am still wearing OPI ‘I Believe In Manicures’ have I mentioned how much I adore this shade!
The co-ord style is finished off with me wearing this gorgeous halter neck red bikini from Asos. This just finishes of the outfit and is just so ideal for the heat. I can just throw the shirt on my shoulders or not wear it all. I use it as a cover up too, just slip into the trousers after a swim in the pool or sea. Two piece dressing is a firm favourite for the summer season, so don’t miss out.
