So here is the Prints Edit of my campaign shoot with Karen Millen. In my previous post I wrote about my Workwear Edit which you can read here. I generally don’t wear a lot of prints so this was new territory for me. It is always a good thing to try out new things and here I did just that and went out of my comfort zone. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this print in person, it wasn’t as bright as I thought it would be. Now that Spring is finally here, I think I can safely say that ( she says with her fingers crossed) as it has not been looking or feeling like it in the past few weeks. Such a gorgeous print dress that will make a great addition to your wardrobe.
Now onto this floral print chiffon midi dress, in my opinion a perfect dress for any up coming occasion. The dress is fitted with a full skirt and these beautiful lace-up details on the back with an invisible zip fastening at the side seam. The neck design is in a v shape that is not too low making it perfect for me. Adore the fluted cap sleeves and the contrast leopard print waistband and hem detail. Taking about the hem it comes in this asymmetric style giving another dimension to the dress.
I decided to style it with some black accessories and therefore letting the dress do all the talking. There were plenty of other options I could have picked for the accessories. Any of the other colours from the dress would work rather well to accent the accessories. This blue bag for instance here and the matching peep toe mules here tie in with the dress and works really well for a wedding attire. All you need to do is add a fascinator or a hat and your done. On the other hand for a lunch date and if your feeling a bit more daring, then why not go for these yellow patent court shoes here.
My choice of bag was this black leather clutch bag which has the gold Karen Millen Lettering and gold chain detailing. A cute little clutch bag which has a fold over front flap and a concealed sip compartment. Just the right size for all my essentials. Next onto my black leather corset shoes, I just couldn’t get over the lace-up details at the front. I am a big sucker for lace-ups and so when I saw these, I could not resist.
As for the finishing touches I wore this Silver cube cage pearl bangle. A chunky bangle that has black pearls and looks so pretty and the silver is picked up in the earrings too, tying the whole look together. So here is my finished prints edit look, I am so happy with the over all look. Whether your going to a wedding, a lunch date or on a getaway this print dress is a great addition to your wardrobe and perfect for Spring/Summer.
