So I decided to bring some florals into my look today by wearing a kimono over a jumpsuit. Just cannot wait around for the weather to be warmer, it actually started to drizzle a little whilst I was taking these pictures. That did not stop me and I carried on as usual. If your like me and do not own that many floral pieces you can always inject a little by using accessories to do so. This is a great look for a Spring/Summer wedding and is a great alternative to the usual long dress. You could also wear jumpsuits to Royal Ascot now as the style guide have officially welcomed and accepted this item of clothing for the Royal Enclosure. How awesome is that!!!!
In Mum Life this week, it was my husbands birthday a few days ago. The boys decided that they wanted to pool their pocket money together and get their Papa an Apple Watch. It was so heartfelt to watch them discuss it amongst themselves and use their own money which of course they got from us and family for birthdays etc. The fact that they wanted to spend it on their father was just so awesome to see. Specially for Zeke as he never likes to spend his money on anything.
It is fast coming up to their Easter break they only have three days this week at school and then they are off until the end of April. This of course means loads of activities to keep them busy as we are not going away as a family. Although I shall be going a way for five days. Cannot wait to share that with you soon. The boys are very much looking forward to watching Marvel’s Infinity War. There has been plenty of discussions about who might die at the hands of Thanos! To be honest I can’t wait either.
On to my ensemble and this beautiful black wide leg jumpsuit from Karen Millen. I adore wearing jumpsuit I find that they are so easy to style. All you need to worry about is the accessories and if your like me its not a worry as thats the fun part trying on to see what works well together. This is also a great outfit for a night out all you have to do is take away the kimono, the sunglasses, the belt bag and add a clutch and your done. Heading to Royal Ascot or to a wedding just add a hat or fascinator and the look is completed.
As I was heading out to lunch I kept the look a little casual. The jumpsuit is sleeveless with a round neck and is flared, and the length is full and is on the longer side which is what I absolutely love. For me I have to wear heels with my jumpsuits or else it just looks a little stumpy on me. There is a drawstring belt around the waist which is great to cinch you in.
I styled my Zara belt bag with the jumpsuit to show off my waist a little bit more. The bag works so well and makes the ensemble more wearable during the day. A cute little black bag which is really handy for carrying cards, lipstick and a compact.
For some added warmth and some spring florals I wore this gorgeous floor length Kimono from Zara. This just brightens up the whole look and adds another dimension to it. I am so in love with Kimono’s at the moment that I have been eyeing up a few at Rixo London. I have seen a few that I like but they don’t have my size in stock at the moment. I guess I will have to be quick off the mark next time I see one I like and not wait around as they seem to be selling out like hotcakes.
Now on to my ankle boots, you can’t see them but they are my black lace up ones from Dune London I have worn them in my previous post Pencil Skirt And Bomber. Here I have actually worn them with socks as I was rather cold. Next I put on my futuristic Stormfighter Black Edition sunglasses from Blank. These just elevate the look and make it look rather quirky in my opinion. Finally finishing off my look I opted for a red lip and in the shade Ruby Woo from M.A.C. worn over Brick lipliner which is also from M.A.C.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read my blog post. What do you make of the jumpsuit? Are you one of those people like me who loves to wear the? Please do let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.
