I was fortunate enough to have been asked by Karen Millen to do a campaign shoot for their Spring/Summer 2018 collection. I was thrilled and so ecstatic when I received the email. As you all may or may not know I have been wearing this brand for twenty years now and I just adore their pieces. One of my dream come true to be able to work with the brand that I love so much. I was asked to style my perfect Workwear Edit, so here I will let you see and tell you why I chose these pieces and how they work so well together. Also you can read up on the Workwear For Every Dress Code here on the Karen Millen Blog.
So the whole look is based around this gorgeous Black Tailored Blazer Dress. Adore how you can wear just one piece to give you that sophisticated office look and feel like a boss. I just can’t get enough of the style of this blazer dress and it is just my style. The fit for me is just right and is tailored to perfection and it comes in a full length fitted sleeve with button cuff closure. A Double breasted dress with a mock wrap front and an asymmetric hem. For me the length of the dress is knee length, so if you are petit it will be longer. Also has two flap pockets on the front and an invisible zip fastening at the side seam. As it is rather chilly still, I would recommend wearing a white tunic underneath if you wish to do so like the one here.
Next I decided to style this black Chain Leather Bag, so appropriate for the office as it is large enough to carry all my everyday essentials. I am loving this slouchy leather shoulder bag which has the gold Karen Millen lettering and chain detailing at the front of the bag. To fasten the bag there is a metal zip on top which is very handy.
On to the shoes and I opted for theses Leopard Leather Court Heels. My main reason for styling them was to inject some colour into my outfit and also the heel hight is not that high, well it isn’t for me as I personally adore heels. You could of course go for a pair of flats with leopard prints on them like the ones here. Finish off my look I kept the jewellery to a minimum and wore these Etched Stud Earrings in silver.
Here is my finished look and I am so happy with the way I styled the pieces together. In my opinion a perfect look for the office and one way to power dress. Now that I look and feel like a boss. Next on the agenda is to go to my meetings feeling confident knowing my outfit is on point. There was three of us who got the opportunity to shoot this Workwear Edit Campaign. On the left Nurce @Nurceerben and in the middle Charlotte @Thestylum.
