I adore wearing an all white ensemble so I was ecstatic to say the least when I came across this white Solace London dress. It is the perfect dress in my opinion for now as I did not want to wait till summer to wear all white. For me personally I would wear white all year round depending on the climate of course. I know most people are cautious about wearing white as it tends to get dirty no matter how hard one tries. Trust me I have been there and I don’t let that put me off! So here is my take on an all white ensemble for a lunch date or for a night out.
In Mum Life apart from the usual chores I have been busy buying suits for the boys. As my brother-in-law is getting married today. I have found an awesome online store called Rocco Clothing which does suits for boys and comes in a five piece which makes life so much easier as all you need to worry about, once you have picked the suit is just the shoes and voila your done. Also the price is very affordable too! This is the second time I am purchasing from them and the quality for the price you pay is just great.
Zeke has chosen to be one of the Three Little Pigs in his school play of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. It is based on Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and the children get to pick a fairy tale character they want to be. From what Zeke has been telling me, it sounds very funny and I cannot wait to watch the performance. Firstly I have to get him a pig costume so will be looking at Party Delights and then onto Amazon for that.
Eli was off school yesterday as he was suffering from a sore throat and a stomach pain. He always seems to suffer from sore throats specially I have noticed when he does swimming at school. I mean I could be wrong and it could be just a coincidence. Anyway there’s not much I can do about that as they have to have do swimming lessons its part of their curriculam. He is old enough now so he doesn’t require my attention as much, but he still needs a hug to make him feel better and I am so happy that he still needs that from us.
Wyatt has finally done his grade four Clarinet exam and he was very very happy with the way it went. Only a few more weeks before we get the results, just glad that it is out of the way now.
Lets move onto my ensemble and this beautiful Solace London dress in white, a knitted long sleeve bodycon midi dress. I adore white garments as much as the next person and find that it compliments my skin tone. The long sleeves is what caught my eye to begin with. I absolutely love the exaggerated flared sleeves with splits at the wrist. This of course makes it very handy excuse the pun to leave you with access for your hands. It has a high neckline and cut out at the back and made in Milano stitch medium weight rayon mix knit. A simple dress that has been elevated by the sleeves, just my kind of dress. It is a perfect dress for a lunch date with a little bit of drama with the sleeves. Or you could also wear it on a night out and change the lipstick colour to red. It happens to be on sale right now and they still have a few sizes left.
Here I have paired the Solace London dress with my white transparent detailed, pointed toe court shoes from Dune London. These exude a timeless glamour and showcase a classic silhouette with the transparent trim detail. The heels are in your slim style and are high, I’m a heel kinda person so for me this is just right for a lunch date. I personally think that for a night out the heels need to be higher. But of course wear what you feel comfortable in. This pair is also on sale and they still have a lot of the sizes in stock.
As for the accessories I of course wore my White oval sunglasses from River Island. You may have seen me wearing these in a lot of my posts. Since I have been getting a lot of wear out of them I think I am going to invest in a designer pair. So I have been trawling through Net-A-Porter looking for a pair and have come across the Elisabeth and James pair. I also adore the Saint Laurent pair which is in the Cat-Eye style. You all know how much I adore Cat-Eye sunglasses. So trying to decide between the two… Oh the dilemma!
Next on to the bag and I opted for my Missguided bag to mix it up a little. This little bag is just adorable and comes with a wide strap just perfect for a lunch date. Has enough storage space for my essentials. For a night out I would swap it for a white clutch and the perfect one that comes to mind is this one from Balenciaga.
Finishing off my look here with my Chanel Coco Rouge nude lipstick in Adrienne. Great for a daytime look and for the night I would switch it with a red lipstick. Currently I am loving the combination of Brick lip liner by M.A.C and Tom Ford’s lipstick in Crimson Noir.
