Who else loves a fur bag as much as me? Before I get onto the outfit details let me just let you know that I am snuggled up with my blanket. As I sit here and try very hard to type away I am feeling extremely cold. The heating has been on for hours now and the house still feels bitterly cold. I am generally fine with the drop in temperature however the last few days have been at an all time low or maybe its just me! Its very difficult to concentrate when you can feel the draft hitting against your leg whilst trying to type. Trying very hard not to move to the couch and just snuggle up an not do anymore blog work.
I am going to persevere and continue as I have a million and other things to get done. It must be one of those days when I just don’t feel like doing anything. However I am going to make sure I am productive no matter what. This weather is not holding me back I tell you. It is hard enough trying get things done at weekends on top of the boys extra activities that they have going on.
I normally tend to get all my blog posts done during the week as I have more free time on my hands. As its coming to the end of their school term the boys have had so many things going on at school that I had to attend. Thus the reason for me trying to get this post done today. Ok enough of me whinging about the weather and my day to day chores, lets get onto this ensemble.
My little friend here, my Fur bag that has been with me for over ten years now! I am super pleased that it is on trend again, it just shows that trend always come back around. This little fur bag is from Karen Millen! No one is surprised by this now, surely! It is a super gorgeous bag which has a magnet clasp in the middle and is in the colour brown. A great size bag to fit everything you would need on a daily basis and has enough room for a small umbrella too! How handy is that, I was so surprised and pleased with the fact that my small umbrella actually fit into this cute little fur bag!
There are so many variations of fur bags out there. Whether its on the high street or in high end stores right now that you are spoilt for choice. If your are not hundred percent sold on the idea then go for a cheaper option and see how much usage you get out of it. Then maybe later on down the line you could purchase a high end one. Like this fur bag that I have my eye on from Valentino at Forward By Elyse Walker.
So in love with my red Carvela boots from Kurt geiger that I just can’t get enough of them. I had to style another outfit around them and I found the perfect knit dress to compliment the boots. This dress is another autumn/winter favourite of mine and is also from Karen Millen. The reason for choosing this dress was because of the red horizontal stripes. Tying in the look beautifully as I envisaged it would do, I was so thrilled. The dress is warm enough for this cold weather and comes with long sleeves and button details on the shoulders. I forgot to take my coat to show you the details as I was in a rush to get somewhere and had to take the pictures rather quickly! Never mind I am sure I can show you them another time.
The colour of the shoulders and sleeves go really well with my camel coat. This is your classic camel coat which in my opinion is a must have in ones wardrobe. A piece that can be worn time after time and a big favourite at this time of year. On top of that it is a gorgeous coat that will keep you warm and snuggly. Yet another item from Karen Millen which has been tailored to such a high degree I cannot express how well this fits. Made from premium Italian fabric, which is evident as to how soft it feels.
It features full length sleeves with button fastening on the cuffs. For me its a knee length coat, so depending on your height it may vary of course. A single-breasted coat which fastens up with these gorgeous black button closure. It also has these peak lapels and pocket details.
Now to the boots as I have mentioned earlier these are from Carvela @Kurt Geiger in the Sparky mid heel design. The details on the boots is what drew me to them in the fist place. They feature these four gorgeous buckles on them with pearls which gives them that edginess. Such a great pair of fierce ankle boots that are raised on a feminine kitten heel to offset the dramatic straps. They have been lined with durable real leather and I absolutely adore them, they are truly stunning.
For the final touch I decided to go with my cat-eye sunglasses from Asos. A wonderful pair of affordable sunglasses that are so edgy that I can’t keep away from them. It works very well with the black on my dress and pulls the whole look together.
As for my lips I opted for yet another nude lipstick. Adrienne from the Coco Rouge Collection from Chanel. I did my hair in a top knot to keep the focus on the outfit.
