So I bought these gorgeous red shoes a few months ago. I have been waiting patiently to wear them and was frantically writing down ideas as to styling them. My personal favourite is to wear them with either an all cream, white, black or blue ensemble to give it that pop of colour. There are so many ways I could have gone with this and didn’t have to keep everything else one colour. My main focus was the shoes and wanted them to be the main focal point.
On this occasion I opted for an all cream ensemble as I very much wanted to show you my long cream cardigan too and how appropriate it can be for this season. As a result the whole outfit is cream except for my sunglasses of course. This way the red shoes can really stand out and make that statement I want.
Here is another pair of lace-ups that I could not resist from purchasing. My collection for lace-ups is expanding and I could not be happier. Oh how these simple things that give as so much joy. I mean it’s not the most important thing in my life but its nice once in a while for me to indulge in the things I adore and enjoy. Shopping is one of them and I am sure there are plenty of fashion bloggers who do too!
They are from Dune and I bought them on sale a few months ago. They still have a few sizes left if you are interested, at such a price they are a bargain. I am so glad that I did as they are just gorgeous and the criss cross ghillie lace-up makes them look super sexy once you have them on. The court shoes feature metal tips on the ghillie lacings, a slim high heel. Finally the round toe completes this chic day to night style.
Now to let the red shoes pop I decided to wear my high-waisted frayed jeans from Topshop. To give the outfit an edgy vibe I opted for these ankle-grazing MOTO Jamie jeans in a cool high-waisted fit. They are the original rock and roll skinny jeans that we fell in love with all those years ago. It has been crafted from a super-stretchy white cotton blend to give you that soft denim feel. This iconic style includes a raw hem detail, multiple pockets, a top button fly and rip details for that edginess that your looking for.
As for my top I headed straight for my Karen Millen polo shirt (well thats how I would describe it to be). The reason for not hesitating is that the colour works really well with the jeans and is not that bright in tone. It is short sleeved and very light I just about managed to get away with wearing it and not freeze. Of course I would not have worn this top had the temperature been that much lower. I could have gone for a cream coloured turtle neck jumper instead. Which would have worked equally with the rest of the ensemble.
Onto the layering and I could not be happier to put this cream waterfall cardigan on over my top. A Ted Baker piece that I have owned for a number of years and of course it gets a lot of wear around this season. I adored it so much that I ended up buying it in black as well. It is knee length and the sides of the cardigan cascade down in a triangular shape. The knit is really soft to touch and very cozy you can just throw it over most outfits. Even when you are just lounging around the house it works as a wonderful wrap to keep you all snuggly. Talking of snuggly my son sometimes uses it as a blanket, he used to do that as a baby too with one of my other cardigans. Maybe thats why I love wearing it so much!
To keep in with the cream tone I chose my Missguided bag. This is a smallish rectangular bag with a metal ring at the front and a fold over magnet clasp. It features these wide straps which made me gravitate towards it initially. A big enough bag to fit all your mod cons for everyday use and super stylish at the same time.
The sunglasses are from Carrera and are in the aviator style. You already know why I opted for them, yes the colour and of course they are super stylish in my opinion. They feature this thin red line across the top and on the arms making it tie in with the shoes too!
Again I went for a nude lipstick, this is in the shade Adrienne from the Chanel Coco Rouge collection. Easy to wear and a perfect nude that I wear on a daily basis.
