During the autumn/winter season I love how you can layer tops, in my case a sleeveless denim top. I particularly adore wearing a shirt underneath it to make a bold statement. Any type of top which has a twist or edge to it will make the ensemble stand out. I would recommend a statement sleeve top or an embroidered top similar to the one I am wearing. As today was an unusually warm day, I just about got a way with not having to wear a jacket or coat. I think this will be one of the last time that I will be wearing an ensemble without a coat or jacket as the temperature has just plummeted.
This sleeveless denim top is another Karen Millen purchase. With a silver zip fastening that runs down the front of the top which gives it that little edge. It is in the colour indigo and has these gorgeous stitching which runs at the top, bottom and either sides of the top.
As to deciding on what to wear underneath this sleeveless denim top, I went for this embroidered dotted mesh top from Zara. The embroidery gives the top the attention it needs and makes it stand out. It has a round neck and sleeves which are half length and in a wide cut. A great contrast against the denim in my opinion to break up an all denim look.
I wanted to stay with the indigo colour from the sleeveless denim top and therefore styled the ensemble with these Frame flared jeans. Again like my last pair of Frame jeans these are the right fit and length for me extra long just how like them to be. They are in the indigo colour too and work very well with the sleeveless denim top. These are in the Le High Flare make, I got these as they did not do the Forever Karlie ones in this colour.
Frame will be my go to for flared jeans from now on. Unless of course I happen to come across another brand that does them in the same lengths as the Frame ones. So far I have yet to come across any, the closest has to be my black Guess flared jeans which are not as long as I would like them to be but I can just about get away with wearing them with some lower heeled wedges. If you know of any other brands that do extra long flared jeans please do let me know.
Wedges are my staple shoe of choice when it come to flares. They are must and in my case and go hand in hand, just love how they work so well together. These gorgeous pair are from Aspiga and are just fabulous and comfortable. Of course as it is much colder now I guess my next option would be to wear some platform boots or wedge heeled boots.
Keeping it simple with my vintage black mini bag. This is such a cute little bag and comes in this unusual trapezium shape. Finished in a satin material it is just adorable. Just big enough to fit in most of my everyday essentials. It is very handy for those days I don’t feel like carrying a lot of things. The only thing I am not able to fit in it is my phone. For me that happens to be my iPhone, but I don’t mind it as I happen to be carrying my phone in my hand or my back pocket most of the time.
To finish the look I went for my Michael Kors sunglasses. These are also vintage and I love the wide arms, they are your classic wide sunglasses. I find they never go out of style and happen to wear them year after year.
