Here are few of my favourite trend picks for Autumn and Winter 2017. I have tried to find similar items in three options high end, high street high end and one that is more affordable.
Here is my first outfit:
My first trend picks for autumn and winter 2017 is red. This colour is a firm favourite and I have therefore gone for an all red ensemble and have opted for a knitted skirt and jumper duo with some white boots. The white boots are also on trend and is a great contrast against the red. You could change the red jumper for a white if you didn’t want an all over red look.
The Victoria Beckham bold red skirt is an elegant piece which can be worn now and in between seasons. It has been spun from a sumptuously soft ribbed wool-blend, this skirt is fitted through the hips before falling to a fluted hem. The matching turtleneck sweater has been spun from wool too and has a tactile ribbed weave to enhance the close fit. The ankle boots are from Balenciaga’s and are made in Italy from smooth leather. This pair has an exaggerated point-toe silhouette.
This affordable vibrant red pencil skirt from Dorothy Perkins is finished with a playful front bow detail and has a subtle fluted hem. It is a perfect choice for embracing this season’s biggest trend. It has been paired with the red jumper which has a gold zip at the back. Finally the white Autograph boots from Marks and Spencer which are by Insolia®. This redistributes your weight away from the balls of your feet, reducing pressure and increasing ankle stability, allowing you to wear your heels comfortably all day long.
My second outfit:
Another on trend colour for Autumn/Winter is around the colours maroon, burgundy and aubergine, whichever variation of this colour you go for it is a very autumnal colour and fitting for the season. I love the pleated skirts that are out there and therefore went for these ones below. High waisted and very flattering, as for the top I styled it with a black shirt with a pussy bow, the bow amps it up, worn tucked into the skirt this will look fashion week ready in my opinion. To finish the look I went for some black sock boots to pull the look all together. You could however opt for some trainer/sneakers if you wanted to break the look up and give it a casual twist.
The gorgeous black printed blouse from Gucci has a gold-tone interlocking GG logo and a curved hem. It is loose fitting with a pussy bow neckline and front button fastening. The Prada skirt is made from burgundy twill, it has an A-line shape and is beautifully finished with plissé pleats. These black Knife 80 booties from Balenciaga are the ideal blend of sporty and sophisticated. These are in an ankle length with leather sole and an extreme pointed toe. Comes with a signature ice pick stiletto heel and a knitted sock cuissard fitting upper and an intarsia logo.
Ted Bakers oversized tie neck top has long sleeves, a hook fastening and a pussy bow tie around the kneck. The beautiful pleated ORELIAA skirt from Ted Baker comes in a flattering length that falls below the knees. This piece creates interest and movement through intricate pleats which also emphasise the lustrous finish of its fabric. As for the boots 1 went for these Topshop black stretch sock boots which are slick and comfortable.
My affordable pieces comes in this pussy bow collar shirt from Vera Moda at Asos. It has long sleeves and two patch breast pockets. The skirt is on sale and is from Whistles, the Kitty skirt is simultaneously elegant and makes a statement. It has a fitted waist which flares into fluid metallic raspberry pleats that falls to a midi length. From Nasty Gal the Sneak Peek Boot comes in vegan suede and features a stretch fit, a stiletto heel, pointed toes, and an inside zip closure.
My third pick:
This happens to be a very big trend for Autumn/Winter is the checked blazer, you may have seen them everywhere and on most people! If you really love this blazer then I would advise to purchase it quickly as they are selling out pretty fast. I styled the blazer here with a pair of biker leather pants with some zip detailing. As for the top I went for a white jumper and not just a plain one all of them have some form of detailing around the shoulders, you could opt for an oversized white shirt or a Tee. To finish the outfit I went for the peep toe ankle boots which I personally love.
Gianvito Rossi’s peep-toe sock boots are made from flexible stretch-knit designed to comfortably hug your foot. This lightweight pair has a cushioned insole to accommodate the high stiletto heel. Show them off with everything from cropped pants to dresses or like I have done with some leather pants. Balmain’s leather pants are inspired by the pairs worn by rock stars in the ’80s. Cut for a second-skin fit, they have lace-up detailing along the sides and moto-style stitching. As for the jumper I have gone for this white cashmere roll neck cape jumper from Chloé featuring a ribbed roll neck, long sleeves, ribbed trimming and a cape detail. For the main piece I have opted for this oversized blazer from Alexander Wang. It has been cut from houndstooth wool-blend and adorned with a row of silver and fabric-covered buttons.
My high street pick are these black knit shoe-boots from Karen Millen. Complete with an on-trend peep-toe shape and luxurious chevron knitted finish, these stiletto boots are the sleekest way to complete the new-season looks. As for the leather pants I actually chose these denim solid colour coated effect jeans from Paige. The come in a mid rise and are in a coloured wash with front closure button and zip. There are multi-pockets, and comes in a slim fit. Karens Millens pleated frill jumper will bring a demure, feminine tone to daytime ensembles. It features a boat neck, with cropped sleeves and is finished with frill detail that cascades the shoulders. The Blazer with lapel collar is from J Crew.
Strut your stuff and up your style credentials in this chic shoe boot. This ankle style showcases a laser cut vamp, peep toe and a slim high heel. This on trend ghillie lace up fastening completes the show stopping style. Soft-touch faux leather Regular rise Zip detail Skinny fit – cut very closely to the body. Our cream frill sleeve knitted jumper is a must have this season! Complete this outfit with our skinny jeans and your favourite boots for a gorgeous daytime look. Cotton-blend fabric Prince of Wales check print Shoulder pad Lapels Flap pockets Double button fastening Slit detail on the back
Here is my final pick:
The camel coat, a statement piece for sure and an on trend favourite colour for Autumn/Winter. In my opinion a good coat is must-have for this season it just looks crisp and sharp and you wont go wrong with the following three I have picked. I have styled it with a high waisted black midi leather skirt. To keep a clean look I went for a white shirt which I would tuck into the skirt. To finish the look off I paired it with some black suede knee length boots, which finishes the outfit beautifully.
This cozy version is a take on Burberry’s iconic double-breasted trench. Made from camel hair and wool-blend, it has oversized notched lapels and is left unlined so it won’t feel too bulky when layered. The leather skirt is from J Brand and has ruffles at the waist which adds an anything-but-demure touch to this stunning leather pencil skirt. This gorgeous cotton button-front shirt with ruffle detailing is from Monse. It has a pointed collar, long sleeves with folded cuffs and buttons at the front. The knee length boots are from Gianvito Rossi and have been lovingly made in Italy from black suede, they’re cut to hit below the knee and fully lined in leather so you can easily pull them on and off.
Karen Millens camel-brown coat typifies a modern and ageless aesthetic. It is tailored from premium Italian fabric with peak lapels and pocket details. The skirt is also from Karen Millen and has been made from buttery black leather that juxtaposes its ladylike A-line silhouette. Punctuated with a silver-tone D-ring belt, it falls below the knee and has two-waist pockets. The white shirt is from Reiss, as for the boots I went for these Steve Madden casual slouching detailed pair. They come with a chic pointed toe and sleek stiletto heels.
The camel coat is from Asos which has been lined with woven fabric and has Notch lapels. It is fastened with a press-stud and has zipped pockets. This faux-leather skirt is from Oasis at Asos. It is fully lined and comes in a high-waist with zip-back fastening. The white shirt also happens to be from Asos and come in a stretch cotton fabric with pointed collar and three-quarter-length sleeves. Finally for the boots I went for the very affordable suede effect boots. Made from synthetic fibre with a zip closure and pointed toes.
